Mandrake can disclose that the Rolling Stones singer has become increasingly close to Molly Miller Mundy, the aristocratic 23-year-old daughter of one of his old friends.

"I'm thrilled it's not Paul McCartney," says her father, Mark Miller Mundy, who is apparently not a Beatles fan.

Mark, a record producer who has worked with Sir Mick's former girlfriend Marianne Faithfull, declines to comment further on the friendship, which I understand has been developing over some months.

Sir Mick's three-year relationship with L'Wren Scott, a 6ft 4in American former model, is believed to have become a little awkward since she told him that she wanted to bear his eighth child.

One of his close associates told me last year that L'Wren, who is a mere 23 years his junior, was adamant that Sir Mick should marry her first.

Molly, who bears a striking resemblance to Sophie Dahl, with whom Sir Mick had an affair when she was a voluptuous 24-year-old model, works for Nicky Haslam, the interior designer.

She reportedly worked on a property in the same street in Chelsea where Sir Mick owns a house.

"She's great fun, personable and chatty," says a friend of Molly, who is one of Prince Harry's Gloucestershire set.

"She's popular with the opposite sex and particularly with older men because she's very confident."

Ronnie Wood, 61, the Stones guitarist, recently had an affair with Ekaterina Ivanova, a 19-year-old Russian art student.

A close friend of Sir Mick said last night that he knew Molly through his friendship with Haslam.

At 65, you'd think he would have finally settled down - if not through choice then at least through sheer exhaustion.
But Mick Jagger appears to have lost none of his lust for life.

There are reports that the ageing rocker has grown close to a woman almost a third his age.

The girl in question is Molly Miller Mundy, 23, the aristocratic daughter of one of Sir Mick's old friends.
There was speculation a few months ago that she had caught the eye of the Rolling Stone.
But this week Miss Miller Mundy's father added fuel to the fire by chirpily remarking: 'I'm thrilled it's not Paul McCartney.'

Before that, he was married to first wife Bianca for nine years - but they divorced after his affair with Miss Hall.
Miss Miller Mundy works for the celebrated interior designer Nicky Haslam. She is currently involved in Haslam's new project renovating a house in Chelsea which is just a few doors down from the property which Sir Mick bought for £ 8.7million in the summer of 2006.

Miss Miller Mundy, who lives in much less extravagant digs in Fulham, West London, is described by friends as a very popular girl.
'She's great fun, personable and chatty,' one said.

'She's popular with the opposite sex and particularly with older men because she's very confident.'

The pair were first linked in July of this year when one report told how she had given the rocker tips on which Elvis tracks to upload on his iPod. At the time, she said when questioned about their friendship: 'Who told you that? That's not true, not true.
'I've just met him through my boss that's all. I've absolutely no idea where that's come from at all.'
A friend of Sir Mick's said last night that he and the girl were just friends.

The friend said: 'There's nothing to it. It seems Molly's father made an off-the-cuff remark which has just been misinterpreted.
'Mick has only known her through her father who is a record producer and her employer Nicky Haslam, who is a contemporary of Mick's.'

Reverting to type: so common looking that if you put her in a cloth coat and headscarf, she'd look like she saw them at Richmond and then went trawling for one or two in Edith Grove.  As common as her surname.  Mick can cruise to senesence on this one, with his lawyers preventing any legitimate kids.  He should have a Do Not Marry order on his old-age home chart instead of a DNR.

She looks like Prince Andrew's ex, Fergie! The old bastard can do better. What about Britney Spears?
