What gets me is that there's a Blues Hall of Fame, A Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, and a Rockabilly Hall of Fame and who knows whatever else. The Rockabilly Hall of Fame is probably more Rock n Roll than the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. The Blues and Rockabilly Halls of Fame aren't quite as beholden to commercial interests.

Yeah, I was definitely thinking Stevie Ray.....if you look at the list, the 50's are fairly well represented. There are vocal, doo wop groups included that have only 1 or 2 hits. On the other hand, there are 60's acts that need to be included but have not been. And probably never WILL be. That goes for the 70's too.

That's a good point about the blues and rockabilly halls too. I guess everyone can't be in the R&RHOF. If you look at the first 10-15 years of inductees, you can see that it really used to be a serious honor.....they HAVE done a fairly good job of inducting most of the important, influential non-performing artists {producers, etc.}.
