What's Bowie doing these days??? Looking after his daughter, he lives in N.Y. but a fantastic songwriter , Musician, Painter, did he retire? is so, what a shame, he's just got so much talent, he's married to a very sexy partner, Iman, I haven't heard anything about him for Years, he's just to talented to be forgotten about.
I'm currently listening to "Heroes" from the Stage Album, a great performance, but I'm sure a lot of people know that about him.

I really think he did he peak on "ziggy Stardust" but then again, he was fantastic on "Diamond dogs" a tour that was away from it's time, I saw him in Toronto at "O'keefe Centre" doing Diamond dogs in '74, at the same night a act peformed at a local theatre, called The New York Dolls their opening act was a band called KISS, which was a take of of on 4 Alice coopers, but Bowie went over the audience on a cheery picker during "Space Oddity" it was the days of Theatrical Rock in a big way, he was the first, not Alice Cooper, who went this way in '75, with his "Welcome to My Nightmare, Bowie was the first to do this, Bowie was the first original!!.

just was listening to the oy vey baby disc yesterday its awesome. that was a great show at the club i saw it at. a great band. bowie always had one. the tour with belew the year before also had its moments.

It was disturbing because he did not look well and he seemed to have trouble keeping his breath, like someone with congestive heart failure. I don't think his health is at all good. Sad.

Well I obviously recognize Bowie and Bruce. But who's the fat bastard in the middle?

The 'fat bastard' is the late Philly DJ Ed Sciaky, who did a great job popularising Bruce's music in that area in the early part of his career.

Bowie recorded the 'Young Americans' album in Philly, which is probably where that photo comes from.

Bowie was never a Vincent Furnier (he legally adopted the name in '74, when he broke up the original band, which wrote all the Cooper big 'Known songs up to that point) rip-off, Bowie was theatrical in '68 with a band "Known as Hype, he's been in bands as early as '64, he only became 'known in America/Canada in '72, Alice Cooper I've seen in concert as early as Dec. '69, I've seen every concert they have done as the original band up to when they broke up in Toronto, so don't tell me about Alice Cooper, I'm well aware of Alice Cooper, if somebody gave me a free ticket to see Alice Cooper perform at some place that holds 500 people, I wouldn't go, to me the original band holds the key to his success, & he didn't even write most of the songs!! the same can't be said about David Bowie, who is more talented as a songwriter & a musician.
