A silly spanish boys singing group that gained some popularity here in The "States" in early and mid-80's.

For what it's worth (and that is basically zero) Ricky Martin was a notable original member of the group. That is where he started actually.

It was incredibly silly to take any interest in them in the mid 80's (unless you were a 13 year old girl in California or something) ....why would anyone care now?

How could anyone see Menudo today? On a youtube.com video clip I'm taking it? Or .... Oh no...don't tell me there is a Menudo #2 out now lol

seeing menudo is akin to having sex with a turnip, wrenching off your testicles with a pliers, or starring in one of lambchop's movies. why tell the rest of the board? it will certainly decrease your social standing!

I'm sorry, but you are mistaken.

Menudo is made from TRIPE! TRIPE is the STOMACH of the COW!
Many people all over the world eat TRIPE! Including France and Italy.

Many people get confused because the Spanish word for intestines is "tripas". (It is a false cognate.) Tripas (intestines) are also eaten, but not in soup. After being thoroughly cleaned, tripas are chopped up and fried and eaten in tacos.

P.S. Ricky Martin was not an original member of Menudo, he was a replacement. For most of the members of Menudo, the band was just a stepping stone. Most went on to bigger and better things.

Robbi Rosa is now a composer and has written music for Ricky Martin, Julio Iglesias and Ednita Nazario.

Ricky Melendez went on to become a lawyer.

The original members of the band recently toured under the name of "Reencuentro".

The recent version of Menudo is now called MDO.
