nfl network blows!

There are not enough ways to note NFL Network is as bad as VS

Last Thursday night....

They butchered the National Anthem with bleeps which caused the girl group who sang to issue a retraction on their web site because it was thought they were inserting cuss words in the anthem

They missed several plays, for they had the cameras pointed in the wrong direction

Chris Collingsworth is insufferable as a color man

Bob Papa could only keep repeating "this game is for 1st place in the NFL East"

Horrendous, self serving promo interview with Ocho Cinco during 1/2 time, which, as Lefty has noted, has just gone up in flames for viewership.  I hope they had all of the promos featuring 85 done, and they had to re-cut them...

They noted Kris Jenkins was "tired', only to have him come in to make two terrific plays vs. the Pats towards the end of the game.

Oye, do they moan.  I'll live with the three 2nd delay and listen to radio, watch the color....

NFL Network has swapped out the Ocho Cinco puff piece for a Bengals mug shot montage.

Expect tonight's halftime to run longer than the Super Bowl's...

Yes,the Fish are proficient in all 3 aspects of the game and are a very well coached team. The Patsies will be hard pressed to beat them. Interesting stuff Ronnie!

Report: Browns courting Bill Cowher

November 21, 2008
Citing Profootballtalk.com, MSNBC reported on Thursday that former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher has been approached about the possibility of coaching the Cleveland Browns.

The report said a source indicated the Browns are willing to offer Cowher a contract worth between $8-9 million per season.

Cleveland currently is 4-6 under coach Romeo Crennel.

Cowher has a history with Cleveland. He played with the old Browns - now the Baltimore Ravens - from 1980-82 and was their special teams coach from 1985-86. He then shifted to the role of defensive backs coach from 1987-88.

Currently a studio analyst with CBS, Cowher took over for Chuck Noll as Pittsburgh's coach in 1992.

In his 15 seasons with the team, the Steelers captured eight division titles and 10 playoff berths, advanced to six AFC championship games and made two Super Bowl appearances. He led Pittsburgh to a victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.

This has been a rumor in town since the day he "retired".   The real reason why Cowher left is not publically know.  It is well know the Cowher wants control of all aspects of the team.  The Rooneys would not give him that much power.  He turned in his resignation years before he retired, but DanRooney did not accept it and fired the Director of football operations (He went to Buffalo--I can't remeber the name right now).  Dan Rooney kept Cowher happy, but with Art Jr. at the helm now things were not going to be the same.

If he went to Cleveland it would not suprise me one bit, since Cowher has a huge ego.  A perfect chance to rub it in the face of Art Jr., or vice versa.

Man that's harsh. Pitt's had a pretty good year. I guess the Bearcats really are that good.....Meanwhile Oklashoma is proving what a fraud Texas Tech is. Pounding the shit out of them.

My fire dave post was tongue in cheek.  Man, a loss like this really hurts.  The Bearcats will be eating Oranges in South Florida, while we eat snowballs in Canada (No Charlie Weis Notre Dame tie in intended).

Oh well, Its Nation Time.  Hopefully, get us some revenge in Foxboro.
