Rashard Mendenhall and Kendall Simmons lost for the season last night.  At least the bye week is coming up.  The bad news the schedule gets a lot tougher now.

I have yet to hear anything about players being brought in.  I don't even know who's out there.

Bruce Arians is on the hot seat now, even more since Ben called the plays during the no huddle drive.  You know the one, that's it the only drive they scored an offensive touchdown on since the first half of the Cleveland game.

Oy!  Mendenhall was quite a pick, & now he's on ir?  What a shame.
Quite a banged up year for the NFL to date....

Yup, Nellie its true.  How fast things can change.  Of course, I don't have to tell you that.

Najeh Davenport is back.

One a good note Andre Frazier is doing fine after being carted off the field with a spine injury on the opening kickoff.  He was in the locker room with his teammates after the game.

Won in OT.  Got beat up though.  Only one running back on the roster not out for this Sunday's game.

a win with a field goal in ot is fucking lame.  i actually had to turn my head around and wake up to see this last night.  the nfl has to change this first score wins rule..........its bullshit.  the other team doesn't have a chance to respond.

i believe in nhl hockey and with the nba they play almost a full quarter and whoever wins after that wins the game.  that i think is fair, at least both teams have an equal chance of winning the game.

Are you fucking serious?

i know you're not and a win is a win is a win and is a good thing, especially if it is your team.  its a crap shoot winning a coin toss.....i'm just saying, it is not fair that the first team to score wins the game.  i would be cool, if say, the team that scores first, ok but the other team has 1 chance, from a kick off, to make a run down the field to at least tie it up and or win.

Uhh, not quite.

NHL regular season overtime is 5 minutes of 4 on 4 - one less skater per side.
First team that puts the biscuit in the basket wins.

If there's no score after that 5 minute OT, then they go to the shootout format.
Each team picks 3 shooters.
If the game is still tied after the 3 shooters are done, they continue shooting in "sudden death".
The game can't end until each team has taken the same number of shots.

Overtime in playoff hockey is a full 20 minute period.
First team that scores wins.

BTW, there are 3 periods in hockey, not 4 quarters.

NBA overtime periods are 5 minutes.
A quarter is 12 minutes.

Other than all that, you're spot on...  Roll Eyes

San Fran is a tough opponent.
They are good in all three facets of the game.
They play smart football.
Their offense is second behind The Cowboys
They have an explosive defense end in Justin Smith
We've not played them since 2004, so, we've spent
a lot of time reviewing tape of their style of play.
We are relatively healthy, which is a good thing
We have our work cut out for us.

I made a few bucks on the Pitt game Thursday.  Sorry I did not let you in on that.   Next week I may take Navy and the points over Pitt.  The one thing about Pitt is that they always play to the level of their opponent.
