what do you US people feel about the way your national anthem gets delt with on these occasions- i think too often (and hudson's version was guilty of it ) it gets  murdered -  sounding more like a caberet number than an anthem the essential melody and rythym are lost in a sea of melissma, un-neccessary syncopation and over-emoting

I could not agree more.  The national anthem is not the song to add your "personal" touch.  The worst I ever heard was at a Pirate NLCS game (yeah that was a while ago).  Bobby Vinton totally butchered the song.  I taped the game and Jack Buck made the comment that if you are Polish and from Pittsburgh you can sing it how you want to.

I watched the post Supe telecast again.  Tomlin did not touch the Vince Lombardi Trophy.  Instead he let the players have it.  The smile on his face told the story.  Once again, what a hire by the Rooneys.  Tomlin just won his first Super Bowl.  The sky is the limit now.  Dude will be back there again.

Watch the replays of Harrisons run at end of first half. Woodley appears to me to block from behind at about the 15 yd line freeing him for the last frantic yds.Another point on the play.Say they called him down inside the one. Cards were called 15 yds roughing....The time cant end on a defensive penalty..right? So it would be Steeler ball half the distance to the 6 inch line with one play....???

I feel you brah.  Me and SG are just bitter our rookies couldn't do what a 2nd year Ben did.  Here's to a good offseason, and will ya please draft some OL, so at least FWP can run for more than like 2 ypc against the damn Cardinals??

Harrison is lucky that his Ali moment with the Cards player later in the
game was not seen by the refs, for he should have been booted from
the game.  Seems like every Soup Bowl brings out the worst in officiating..

He was flagged for 15 yds...and based on what he did likley should have been kicked out.I'm wondering what happened before that though to precipitate it? Seemed like a lot of chop blocking going on.But too many flags and both teams lost their cool several times. Now onto the draft and free agency.OLine pluueezzzeeee

Yeah, I just saw it on ESPN.  They pointed out the block put on Booty Boy.  Check it out never noticed it before.  He ran right into a Card player on the sidelines, almost completely stopping him.  He was still able to catch him at the goal line.  If it was not for the "block" he would have been caught on the five.
