Buckinator, the terms of this deal are East Coast biz, not Mid West malaise...
You better cheer on the J E T S, for all they have to do is make the playoffs,
that pick turns into a 2nd roundah...Besides, the Bucs deal was not as good.
Face it, the loser did not want to accept:

A.  A back up role
B.  25 Mil to go to marketing, he called it a bribe

All of this after he said he was retiring.

Pack had to do what was best for the Pack.

Bribe Me Ronnie~!!

To make it even luckier Brady was actually the Pats second 6th round pick that year.Imagine if Steelers had taken him in the 5th round instead of the forgettable Tee Martin who never even made the cut.

Brady in all likelihood would have rotted on the bench in Pittsbutgh.  The Steelers were so in love with Kordell Stuart at that time.  The Steelers could never draft quarterbacks.  In that last 50 years one was great, one appears to be heading for greatness, and the rest were mediocre at best.

This trade does bolster the AFC East, which was a cake-walk for the past years, although the Farve Network-ESPN will make you think he's the second coming of Joe Montana.
It's a good trade to get him out of Green Bay, but lots of learning with the J E T S.
I still feel it's between Pats-Bills, for the Phins are far away, and Farve does not take
to long meetings for training well, especially given the offensive coach, head coach are
younger than him.....I'm sure he'd rather be in a duck blind, somewhere in the swamps of Jersey instead of looking at video...

Farve's all washed up. Why don't these guys just go out with grace and style? The Jet's might get one or two good seasons out of him though. When Montana left the 49'ers he didn't do shit. Same with Ervin and Jerry Rice. You gotta know when to quit.

Having siad that the Stones are still around.

Being a Packers fan, I'm glad the whole thing is over with.  Brett was the ass in this whole mess.  He was given every chance up until June to come back.

He'll play a season or two for the Jets, and nobody will remember.  (See Motel's examples, Franco Harris(Seahawks), OJ Simpson (49ers), Willie Mays (Mets), ect....

dude...we can add football to the infinite list of things you don't know shit about.

favre, whom you have labeled as "washed up", led his team to the brink of the superbowl last year, or don't you remember? jerry rice also went to the big show with the raiders, and joe montana....the dude won like 2/3 of the games he started with KC, went to the pro bowl, and led the cheifs to the playoffs both years and into the AFC championship the first year.

SCL, you and myself have seen some of the greatest football ever played from our respective teams.  You ought to know by now there is no such thing as a sure W.

http://www.steelers.com/gameday/week10-2007/ (LOL!)

Anyway the Niners should get some picks from the all-time interception leader.  Bill Curry said it best about Brett's interception record.  It is a sign of his greatness, if he was not that good he would never have had the chance to throw that many interceptions.

This season is shaping up to be a demolition for the Steelers.  They have the poise.  They have the moxie.  They have both the poise and the moxie to make this a Steeler Supe Bash with the Stones II.

True POP. I do remember the Niners & Packers having some memorable playoff games. The Niners just couldn't win in Lambeau. But then again, not too many teams did.

Yup, and more important, they have the Ben.  The Ben.  The future face of the league.  The NFL knows that also.  For Christ's sake, the dude was on tv all the time during this year's Super Bowl week coverage.

By the way, who taught who this move?
