Undercover is still active?
Are most of the posts on it still on the topic of cheese? Thats why I unsubscribed many years ago. If you posted Stones info no one as much as said thanks, but the same four or five people took up 80% of the digest with the same in-joke that went on for years.
I got the impression SFJ was more or less 'retired' some years ago. Issues came out less frequently and I think Skippy may have been ill for a time. Dont know for sure as I was kicked off it sometime in 1999 or so for daring to question his decision to edit my posts where I had the good netiquette to quote another site (eg this one) as a source for a story so that he could make it look like he was the only person to ever post a bit of Stones news info.
I agree about SFJ too much ego by the owner, in fact I was kicked off too probably for the same reason but later welcome, I unsubscribed two months later, the curious thing is that a lot of times I found news copied and pasted from Rocks Off without any credit or link, I do remember we used to change some commas or grammar to the articles just to be 100% sure they were copied and yes, the people there used to make copy and paste and not giving credits, thanks or links.
My question is because I'm making a space at rocksoff.org about Rocks Off history including awards and distinctions and I want to confirm some facts, one I'm sure is that this is the oldest active message board about the Rolling Stones as Undercover and SFJ are mailing lists and as mentioned above, Gerry's board is about Brian, but that is the real oldest message board about stones related stuff.
