But he openly noted he pulls for the Stillers in the presser today, typlcal politician. I feel bad for this guy. He's battling a re-ocurrance of cancer. Why waste energy on this? The NFL does not need Spector to tell them what to do. They are a money machine, will police their own, as evidence from a 3/4 mile fine & # draft pick fine to the Pats. He's stoked over Godell destroying tapes, he's the comish, he's got this right. If Spector acted half of what Godell does with the NFL, we would have a smoother running country, but Spector is beholden to his peeps, who are funding his past elections. He really should shut up, for someone will get looking about his ties to Comcast. Finally, doesn't he appear regularly on a Philly sports talk show grousing about these topics ad naseum?
And to hear Chris Carter on ESPN compare these released tapes to every Pacman Jones episode just diminishes the next words out of his yapper....
So, the conclusion is, The Pats did something not allowed in the NFL, paid the largest fine ever in the NFL for it, went 18-0 in the regular season, got a dose of old school ass whopin in the Super Bowl and lost, not making NFL History. As Tony Soprano told Janice, "all in all, not a bad visit...."
