There are no vocals on the track on the album. Joplin was scheduled to record them on October 5, 1970, but she died the night before. So those guys must have put the words to that song. chicago blues reunion They sound like a pretty tight unit

This is harp player Johnny Woods with his version of Long Haired Doney. Recorded in the field by Tom Pomposello and released as a 7" in 1972 on Oblivion Records. The voices you hear in the background are that of Pomposello and Fred McDowell. They both called in on Johnny and got him to record on his lunch break. The second picture of the slideshow sees Johnny woods in work gear leaning up against Fred McDowells new Pontiac lol. I just love this performance!!
