Obama supporters were all over the place with signs, as were Clinton's supporters. Lots of honking, shouting, and getting in my way on the lunch break.
That sort of campaigning doesn't do it for me. Is anyone swayed by people holding a sign for a nominee?
has anyone ever been swayed by a post here? I have on several ocassions. I'll admit I don't know plenty on many issues, like the causes and effects of gobal warming. Unlike many of the scientific geniuses inhabiting this board, I'm just not goddang smart enough to process all the relevant, informed literature and come to concrete opinions in 10 minutes. I'll read things people post about issues I'm unclear on and see if it makes sense. I is pro-learningism. Unfortunately, there is even a "counter sway." If someone posts with systematic idiocy, and continuously fails to apply common sense or consistent principles (that's a big one), I'll assume they are backward-ass whacked on an issue that I may even initially agree with them on. Its tough to guard against that tendency. Like even George Walker Bush III might be correct on something someday, but as a conservative, I'm calloused to think every word out of his mouth, to the extent it can be understood, is complete retardation. sir, this is probably one of the best posts, on politics I've seen in these parts. And anyone reading your post, who doesn't understand, why I may feel this way, only need ask. Remember, ignorance is even worse than dumb, dumb people ask dumb questions, ignorant people think they know it all!!! Moonie appreciation thread, anyone? Agreed. Great post. As I have told many off the board Moonie, and Pdog are two of the few that get it. Yeah, you Pdog, just ask!!!!
