We've received the official press release for U2's iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015. Here's what the statement says:

Wednesday, December 3, 2015 – For Immediate Release. The dates for U2’s upcoming iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015 have been announced today by Live Nation. The iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour which begins in 2015, will see U2 play indoor arenas for the first time in a decade, in 19 cities worldwide during its first year with pairs of shows in each city. Tickets for all shows will go on general sale on Monday 8th December. In addition, special shows are being planned for Dublin for the end of next year – to benefit the U2-initiated Music Generation project - details of which will be announced as soon as they are finalised (complete tour itinerary follows).

The tour follows the recent release of U2’s thirteenth studio album Songs Of Innocence by Island Records, which was given to U2.com subscribers and gifted by Apple to over half a billion iTunes Music Store customers worldwide. To date, Songs of Innocence has been streamed 81m times and has been downloaded by 30m fans.

“We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two” said Bono, “and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience. More to be revealed!”

“The anticipation for a U2 tour is always extraordinary, as it should be,” said Arthur Fogel | President - Global Touring and Chairman - Global Music - “Following the record-setting 360° Tour I’m amazed that they still want to be ground-breaking, this time on a more intimate scale.”

Tickets for the U2 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015 go on general sale beginning Monday, December 8th. As usual, there is an exclusive priority presale for U2 Fan Club subscribers at U2.com, from Thursday, December 4th at 10am through Saturday, December 6th at noon (all times local). Tickets will be general admission on the floor and reserved seating in the stands.

UPS is the logistics supplier to the tour. Ron Rogowski, UPS Vice President, Global Brand and Sponsorships said - “We’re excited to work closely with U2 and Live Nation on this amazing tour in the most sustainable and environmentally responsible manner while providing them speed, efficiency and reliability.”

The Edge provided fans with an update on Bono’s biking accident and injuries while speaking with KROQ’s Kevin and Bean on Wednesday morning to announce U2’s world tour and the news that U2 wouldn't be performing at the radio station's Almost Acoustic Christmas concert.

Edge confirmed that Bono’s accident occurred on Sunday morning, Nov. 16, while he was cycling in Central Park as part of his workout regime, and that the injuries were akin to being in a car crash. "There were a lot of people in the park and he just wasn’t paying enough attention," Edge said. "He was going fast down a bit of a hill and somebody come out onto the cycle way. He swerved to avoid them and just went straight over the handlebars.”

After saying that Bono was made of tough stuff, Edge described the injuries: “The poor guy. Basically his left elbow was shattered, so a lot of the work was reconstructing the joint and putting in wires and plates. He showed us an X-ray a couple of days later and it looked like a miniature of the Eiffel Tower was in his elbow. Then the same had to happen with the fracture of his pinkie. The joint there was totally messed up. That needed a bone graft. Then the most vulnerable was his upper back and scapula. They couldn’t put any plates in there. They decided to not do surgery. So, basically he’s got to be very still and not move around until that’s healed.”

Edge said Bono’s doing physical therapy twice a day to keep his joints active.

Because of Bono being sidelined, the band almost canceled out on the World AIDS Day event in New York City, but didn't because it was a charity event, Times Square was shut down for the night, and they were fortunate to have a little help with lead vocals. “It was an amazing experience, but it feels a little bit like we were cheating on Bono,” he said.

Edge told Kevin and Bean that he has never performed without Bono. “It never happens and it’s not an experience I want to repeat again.” He reiterated that as one of the reasons why U2 was pulling out of the KROQ Acoustic Christmas event. “We can’t have somebody fronting U2 for a whole show. That would be ridiculous.”

Slayer Rescues Kitten In Indianapolis

Who says the guys in Slayer don’t have hearts? The group behind such songs as ‘Raining Blood’ proved that they weren’t immune to the charms of a kitten when, earlier in the week, they resuced one from the streets of Indianapolis.

The encounter took place before their show at the Old National Centre on Thursday (Dec. 4). As their publicist told Nuvo.net, “Last night Kerry [King] and some of the crew went to dinner at Kerry’s favorite steak house in Indy, St. Elmo’s Steak House. Afterwards, the assistant tour manager, Jess [Cortese] saw a homeless man on the street who offered up this little kitten for a dollar. The kitten apparently was freezing so Jess took it, slept with her in her bunk on the bus and went to the venue with her today, hanging out. One of the runners knew someone who wanted a kitten, so the little guy now has a new home where he or she currently is.”

The venue posted the above photo to its Facebook page, which prompted a reply from the kitten’s new owner (along with another adorable picture) in which she thanked the band and her friend. “I named her Gypsy!” she wrote. “I gave her a bath last night then she slept for five hours on the heating pad. She’s at the vet this morning being treated for fleas and worms.”
