The last time they did that was Not Fade Away on Voodoo Lounge. Once in 20 years is shameful.
Uhm.....
I wanna Be Your Man...
GOMC
Its All Over Now
The Last Time
Lady Jane
As Tears Go By
Just to name a few...
To be fair, The Wick did specify "new and exciting arrangements" in his comment. Can't say any of those songs were anything but very standard, conservative performances, excepting "I Wanna Be Your Man" for it's extreme rarity factor and very exciting deliveries.
Something like what they did with "Out of Control" in '97 is perhaps what he's referring to; not much adventure or imagination involved in their arrangements since then I reckon...

Thank you for saving me the time Mr. Yeats. I Wanna Be Your Man was only done because of the 50 years and it died a quick death. Also, the arrangement, although wonderful and exciting, was pretty standard. The best example of the songs you mentioned Paranoid Android is GOMC because the last time it was done differently was with Billy Preston- you count the years...

It's not so much about rearranging the furniture as regularly polishing it (with Brasso and wood-oils), tightening the joins, reweaving or restuffing the pillowy bits, and dancing at variegated speeds around Charlie's lovely steady stool.
Alll very well stated points. In my typical arrogance I failed to read the original the "new and exciting"...my apologies there Wickie ole boy...
that simple oversight just knocked my statements out of the water...and as far as Charlie's stool...that is between he and his GI specialist
