http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1214359/They-said-wouldnt--didnt-Ronnie-Wood-moves-love-nest-blazing-row-20-year-old-girlfriend.html#ixzz0RYBqRnNi

It's over: Ronnie Wood has parted ways with 20-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova after a 12-month romance

Sooner or later, the fun of pretending to be a teenager in the throes of young love was going to wear off for Ronnie Wood.

It has, admittedly, taken longer than everyone thought - more than a year, in fact.

When you're 20, a screaming bust-up in the middle of the night that results in the police turning up and clothes being lobbed out of the window can be viewed as affirmation of the intensity of one's passion.

When you're a 62-year-old grandad, it's just dull - and exhausting.

Wood's row with his 20-year-old girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova in the early hours of Monday culminated, according to one neighbour, with the Russian's pronouncement: 'I'm going to kill myself. You are going to find me dead.'

Wood's response was apparently more prosaic: 'F*** off home, you slut.'

On Thursday night, Wood sent his bodyguard back to the North London apartment he has been sharing with Ekaterina, known as Katya, to collect his belongings.

Guitars, furniture and artwork were loaded into a white removal van and taken to the Rolling Stone's new address about five miles away from his former marital home in Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey.

He arranged to rent the flat a few weeks ago, suggesting he has been planning an escape from Katya - whom he met in a Soho bar in July last year - for some time.

'He's bored of her, it's as simple as that,' says a friend. 'And he desperately misses his family.'

The location of Ronnie's new home suggests this is part of a well thought out plan to inveigle himself with his wife and family.

Yesterday Ronnie was believed to be at this new property. There has been no sign of Katya at the North London flat this week. Jo, meanwhile, spent yesterday at the BBC Television Centre in Wood Lane, West London, preparing for television stardom.

Ronnie's tiring of Katya comes at precisely the time that his estranged wife Jo has reached the completion of her 'journey' from long-suffering wife to sexy, single rock chick (second-generation, clean-living, impeccably green).

Last night she was set for her debut in the opening live show in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Packing up: Ronnie is believed to be moving to a new address near his former marital home in Kingston, south west London.

Stepping onto the dancefloor in her sequins and a handsome man on her arm - Brendan Cole, one of the show's more overtly heterosexual professional dancers - was to be a moment loaded with symbolism, the casting off the old for the new, and it can't have escaped Ronnie's notice.

Next week, he and the other members of the Rolling Stones are due to fly out by private jet to Ronnie's estate in County Kildare, Ireland, to record their latest album, which could take a couple of months.

According to a friend, Ronnie was keen to tie up things with Katya - i.e. get rid of her - before he left. At the same time, he wanted to set in motion his efforts to persuade Jo to take him back - perhaps have dinner, lay his cards on the table and then leave her to mull things over while he recorded the album and she focused on Strictly.

He certainly needed to get on with it, given that divorce proceedings are already underway.

So a dinner was arranged for this week, with the couple accompanied by their daughter Leah, her husband Jack Macdonald and their three-month-old daughter Maggie.

Ronnie mentioned the meeting to Katya. She took it badly. She insisted she go, too. He refused.

His intention to dine with Jo is believed to be the cause of the bust-up in the early hours of Monday, though it seems that if it hadn't been that, Wood might have contrived something else to start a row.

But will Jo take him back? Logic and common sense dictate that there is no way she would even contemplate it. After 31 years putting up with the strain of living with an alcoholic, he thanked her by running off with a girl barely out of her teens.

It is unthinkable that she should forgive him. But Jo is battling another force which is out of her control - and is more powerful than all the most valid reasons not to take him back. She loves him.

Clear out: Ronnie's relocation comes after he had a blazing row with Ekatrina earlier this week

She has spent most of her life with this man, raised four children with him (Jesse and Jamie from Ronnie and Jo's previous marriages and Leah and Tyrone together) and been part of the Rolling Stones circus all that time. She misses him.

'Jo is still in love with Ronnie, that is not the problem,' says a family friend of the couple.

'But how can she forgive him for the pain he has caused her and the family? They are talking again, but this is part of a very long process.

'It may be years before he is able to earn back the trust.'

Most of those close to Jo are vehemently opposed to a reconciliation.

'We don't want Ronnie to split up with this girl,' says one close family friend. 'If he's with her, he'll stay away from Jo.

'What Ronnie put Jo through was terrible, and I'm not just talking about his running off with a young girl. Before that it was a constant battle trying to keep him off the booze. We'd tried to hide the bottles from him, do everything we could, but it was no good.

'Jo's pulled herself together and got on with her life. She has real class. We don't want Ronnie back spoiling everything.

'Anyway, Jo won't take him back unless he gives up the drink - and there's no sign of that, is there?'

Ronnie's children were deeply angry with him at the pain he caused their mother.

As one family friend put it: 'The family have had a hellish year. They put on smiles and a front, but behind the scenes there has been real anguish.'

For the first few months after Ronnie left Jo for Katya, there was little, if any, contact between the Rolling Stone and his children.

At present, it is believed that Ronnie's sons remain angry with their father and are vehemently against a reconciliation.

He wants her back: Friends say Ronnie is attempting the reconcile with his wife Jo, seen here training for Strictly Come Dancing with dance partner
Brendan Cole yesterday

His daughter Leah, however, is believed to have softened towards him. She feels pity for him because of his alcoholism, and knows, too, that her mother still adores him.

'Despite everything, Leah can't bear the estrangement between her parents and would love them to be together again, or at least become close friends,' says a friend.

'And Jo is wavering because she loves Ronnie.'

On Wednesday, Leah and her baby daughter Maggie accompanied her father to a photoshoot at David Bailey's studio in Holborn, Central London.

Wood, an accomplished artist, has just designed a range of clothing for Liberty and has asked Leah to front the campaign.

According to one report, Katya had thought she was the perfect person to model the clothes, and Wood's refusal to let her has been another source of tension between the couple.

Indeed, over the past few months, Katya, who says she is not Russian but was actually born in a small republic bordering China called Kyrgyztan, has become rather demanding. What appealed to Ronnie at the outset was her air of innocence, her kookiness.

He believed she wanted him for himself, not because he was a Rolling Stone. And she not only let him drink, but she drank with him, unlike Jo, who was on at him all the time to stop.

As is the norm with many young women who hook up with world famous multimillionaires, Katya, who says she came to England as a child and grew up with her mother in London, says she had only the vaguest sense that he was a celebrity.

But of late, it seems, Katya has grown aware that her lover, however drunk and dishevelled he may be at times, is a man of considerable talent whose name still opens doors.

She liked the idea of being his muse and becoming famous in her own right.

But it now looks like Ronnie has different plans - and a different woman on his mind.

Is there any chance that over the next few weeks the Strictly cameras will home in on Ronnie sitting in the front row at the BBC Television Centre, cheering on his estranged wife?

It would be a gift for the show's producers, but does Jo want it?

It's a question she must ask herself a lot, but probably does not yet know the answer
