Let other designers download tracks on iTunes or negotiate with band managers. L’Wren Scott has decidedly more intimate connections to the music business.
During her presentation on Friday, Scott played two tracks written specially for her show by her boyfriend, Mick Jagger. “When you write a song, it has to fit the show and it has to have some walkability,” said the rock legend, who shot photos of fellow guests including Sarah Jessica Parker and Ellen Barkin throughout the lunch. “The beat has to go with the clothes and with the presentation.”

Jagger certainly achieved that. His first tune, “You Run Run Run Me Ragged,” had editors bopping their heads in time to the music. Even Jagger couldn’t sit still. Then his “Fly, Oh My Sweet Angel” came on, appropriately accompanying an abundantly ostrich-feathered cape.
The bad news for any Rolling Stones fans who weren’t invited to the intimate affair? Jagger said he is not recording the special tracks.
