Esa canción me encanta, Nik. Sobre todo las guitarras solistas de Mick Taylor, que parece que lloran. No sé cómo nunca la han incluido en ningún recopilatorio. Otro tanto sucede con la canción "Drift away", que jamás se publico. Ni tan siquiera como cara B de un single. Yo la tengo y es buenísima. Es de la misma sesión que "Through the lonely nights". Supongo que al incluir la magnífica "Till the next time we say goodbye", y con "If you want to be my friend" and "Time waits for no one", pensarían que eran demasiados temas lentos para un álbum llamado "Es sólo rock and roll".

Nik. Hace mucho tiempo que no oigo "Through the lonely nights". Mi tocadiscos se averió y sólo tengo el single de "It's only rock and roll". Pero, si mal no recuerdo, creo que el solo tenía un poco de wah-wah y phaser.

El efecto flanger no es ese. Piensa cuando un avión pasa por encima de tu cabeza a toda velocidad, esa curva de sonido que hace. Ése es el efecto flancer. A mí me encanta utilizarlo en la guitarra.

El efecto Flanger lo puedes apreciar perfectamente en la canción "Keep yourself alive", de Queen, en el LP "Queen I". La guitarra que arranca la canción, la rítmica, lleva el efecto flanger. Verás que tiene como el efecto de un avión supersónico pasándote por encima.
