Of course I think its fine to like or dislike whatever...

But also, a medieval proverb describing someone who speaks ill
publicly of their own family or friends or community:

Personally I kept quiet here for nine months because I did not
have a high opinion of much of Hackney. I didn't want to
spoil the party...

Anyway, from the same news story...

Richards has defended AI's growing role in entertainment, saying,
"AI is like anything else. It can be either a tool or a toy. It's how
you use it." Jagger has also expressed his enthusiasm about the
tech. In 2022, he said, "We're already in an AI world of doing
this stuff, and you can do a lot of musical stuff with not very
complicated computerization as well."

So I'm supposing if it ever became known that Mick and Keith are
using AI for musical ideas to elaborate upon (instead of everybody
sitting around in the studio for 12 hours while Keith perfects a riff),
these same "fans" would lose their shit all over again...

I wouldn't. I couldn't care less. All I want is music approved by
both Mick and Keith, however they come up with it. Do I care
that Keith came up with Street Fighting Man because somebody
in the next room was playing Dancing in the Street and all
Keith could hear through the wall was the bass and beat? Nope.

(Where do you think T-Swift and Drake get ideas? Drake released
three albums yesterday. That's why I haven't completely given
up on us getting another Stones album for Christmas, as nutty as
that sounds...)

The Rolling Stones and Diablos Rojos (Red Devils) announce collaboration

The Rolling Stones and the Diablos Rojos del México are now a
reality. The legendary British band and the reigning Mexican Baseball
League champions announced a special collaboration that will include
collectible items inspired by the rebellious spirit and passion that
both institutions represent.

In a statement, both brands highlighted that this alliance seeks to
celebrate "the attitude, legacy and sympathy for the devil" that they
share.

The collaboration includes the launch of an exclusive line of caps and
a jersey developed in partnership with New Era. Additionally, a limited-
edition vinyl record, designed for collectors and fans of both music
and baseball, has been confirmed.

The album , titled Foreign Tongues , will have a special cover created
by the Mexican visual artist Juan Manuel Nares.

The Rolling Stone will play a lighthouse keeper in Three Incestuous Sisters,
joining a cast including Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley and Saoirse Ronan,
currently filming on the Italian active volcanic island of Stromboli.

Seems unlikely that Odessa will ever have the star power of peak
Sydney or Kristen. It seems to be Odessa's thing to NOT stand out
in the crowd, so the video plays into this "modest" strategy, which
has nonetheless won her over 2 million followers on instagram
(versus Sydney's 26 million)

But at least Odessa's followers are now showing up on youtube, with
the "in the stars" vid picking up a bit of steam. It should catch up to
the great "mess it up" vid's 4 million views by the end of this week...

"GRWM" is a sub-style on youtube where girls talk to the camera
while putting on their faces. Get Ready With Me. In this case, its a
young Londoner who has garnered over 100K followers by,
essentially, idolizing Marianne, Anita, and Twiggy...

I mean, besides getting herself cast in the Stones vid, recently
Paul McCartney's people spotted her in the crowd and immediately
moved her into the front row...

I know, in the above vid without makeup she looks 16 years old,
but she's actually 23

It was McCartney who suggested to Mick Jagger that the Stones
should work with Watt, resulting in their fantastic 2023 album
Hackney Diamonds. They have been back in the studio, creating a
follow up, Foreign Tongues, which will be released in July. Noting
that “a producer’s role is always changing”, Watt took an unusual (in
the modern music world, at least) approach, dispensing with click
tracks that allow everything to be set up in a grid for digital post-
editing, instead encouraging the band playing live in the studio,
seeking a perfect take to build the record around.

“You know from being a Stones fan, they never play the same fucking
thing the same way twice, right? It’s always changing, and then
there’s moments where they blow your brains out with how
unbelievable and tight it is, and they’re all on it. But part of their
magic is that it’s always changing, sculpting, so the recording
process had to be something where we were going for keeps at all
times, so you could capture those moments, moving with the
heartbeats of the guys in the room.”

Jagger and Keith Richards have had the longest-running
songwriting partnership in music history. But there have been
well-documented tensions between the highly organised singer and
louche guitarist over the decades. Watt suggests this is at the heart
of the group’s art. “You would think two people that have been with
each other for as long as they have could read each other’s minds,
and there’s times where they do and there’s other times where they
go exactly opposite, and it’s those moments where some of the
greatest shit comes out. When they’re recording, they’re almost like
fencing a little bit, you know, it’s like this eloquent kind of battle that
is occurring.”

He gives an example: “If it’s a song that Mick started and he’s kind
of showing the guys, then Keith takes it completely into a new
direction and comes up with a new riff or new musical phrase. It’s
completely different than Mick intended, but I’m there, pushing for
Mick to keep going through it even though it’s changing, because
Keith is on fire. Balancing that whole act and keeping it moving
along so you’ve got the take when the magic happens, that is really
the main part of the job. Really, it’s the most fun thing in the world.
There’s never a single day that I’d go into the studio and not be like,
‘I’m going to see the fucking Rolling Stones play!’”

Watt is unabashedly excited about the new Stones album. “The first
one was obviously my dreams coming true, so it’s got a special place
in my heart. But I like this one even more. It’s rawer and live-er and
jammier and – wait till you hear the shit Keith’s playing. It’s unbelievable.”
