I, Bjornulf Vik, owner editor Grand Muckety Muck of the greatest
rock'n'roll fan site in the world, and unchallenged undefeated
Pit Champion of the World, and Supreme Opinionator of all things
political cultural and medical, being of sound mind and body, do

I have watched the video once, forcing myself to watch it through,
even if it is disgusting, but I will never watch it again.
Now I understand why Keith looked a bit lost during the press meetings.
He just did not approve of any of this. Ronnie had no vote. So Mick got

It is not The Stones. It is Mick Jagger insisting on not growing
old. For ages he has been doing the same. At the El Rey promo show
in 2001 he hired a bunch of video models. They were placed in the
front, nice young girls to talk to, paid $200 each, short, in order not
to stand out too much. Security asked us older looking people in
the attendance to move aside, to let the paid models a third of our
age, in their early 20's to the front. The same happened in every
promo shooting, like Beacon Theatre, Fonda and so on. Paid short
video models, some times even young boys, in their early 20's at the
most, paid $200 each to make the Stones fans look young.(bv, thank god they did this, or I would have been needlessly
traumatized at the sight of your decaying mug accompanying my
favorite music)
If it is stand-in's, lookalikes or AI does not matter. It is not the
Stones, and it is not their fans. (bv, you're dead wrong, these kids are
definitely fans, perhaps more casual than us, just like the many thousands
of others in the USA stadiums. These kids just don't have money to burn
like they were, to use a familiar example, some Scandinavian tech business
owner who can't wait to get away from his wife for a few months)
There is something called "growing old gracefully". Then there is something
called desperation. I am sure a psychologist or a social anthropologist
will have a better analysis of it.(bv, hey that's me, a social
anthropologist who also once upon a time shared the same
psychoanalyst with Keith, documented, and Mick, I'm almost sure)
A bunch, 10+ drummers, same with keyboards and bass players, none looking
like Darryl, Steve, Chuck or Matt. Professional dancers. It is not my band.
Not my friends in the "crowd". It is a time machine back to the 70's, but
I just can not get myself into watch it anymore. It is probably meant for
the younger fans. (that is, the younger at heart, so, bv, thanks for the
compliment, from someone who is decidedly your elder. And, if I might share
a personal admittedly subjective opinion, I am so happy that you have
finally shown yourself as the naked emperor I always knew you were,
or to put it more discretely, a world class asshole, and the least Stones-like
"superfan" that ever was, or ever will be. Also someone way too
chickenshit to disobey your mama and grow old disgracefully in the
trademark manner of our beloved Stones. And FYI, you confused old
wanker and once-useful idiot, the only reason the Stones have ever
tolerated your bullshit is for the same reason they have always
tolerated all kinds of media hacks: You helped them sell tickets,
records, and merch. That's it, that's the only reason, so suck on
that lollipop for awhile! Love always, revvy)
