Can only agree about the cover but I said I'd be quiet about this now so Grin

I think In the Stars is superior to Angry, alone by listening to the lyrics, they're very interesting and Angry was shallow lyrics-wise, also of all the HD songs they played live in 2024, I really didn't like Angry at all, it doesn't work live bevause the tempo is weird, In the Stars on the other hand, I'm utterly sad we'll never get to hear live because they aren't touring...

I honestly could not be happier about these new pics and vids of our 3 heroes, it's SO good to see them together again all happy and healthy 💜

also Mick said in an interview he'd love to play the new songs live and hopes they can do so as soon as it's possible....eh he by "it's possible" does he mean as soon as he has persuaded Keith to tour after all? Or how do we read this? 😅

I also noticed that the louder you listen to Into The Stars the better it gets, I'm hooked on the chorus, it's so catchy and it would be a dream to get to hear this one live 🙏🏻

I was expecting people on IORR being negative about it but they seem to generally enjoy it^^

Have y'all watched the vids by Hendrik Mulder from the press conference? At the end of part 2, Conan O'Brian asks Keith if it's him singing on that one song and he had to repeat the question 4 times and it made me wonder whether Keith was just daydreaming in that moment and not getting the queation right at first or whether he has hearing problems and this might be the true reason there's no tour...

The guys are totally fine. Zero difference in demeanor, posture, attitude, and clarity from the Hackney Diamonds junket.

Mick's somewhat cryptic statement about wanting to tour "when it's possible" will get clarification at some point soon, maybe tonight. I don't expect anything concrete but maybe a little more about what might be in store for later. The door is obviously open.

IORR is having its typical reaction. Some like the song, some think it's shite, some remain hung up on comparisons to the golden age (false comparison), some are content with the latter-day sound, some pine for Charlie, Bill, and Brian. Same shit, different cause. Geriatrics vs Gen-Xers?

The single is perfectly competent latter-day Stones. It's in the same cone of inspiration/execution/sound as You Got Me Rocking, Biggest Mistake, Mixed Emotions, High Wire, and -- obviously -- Doom and Gloom. Mediocre Stones will do just fine.

Which I will take any day. Call it Coldplay with Keith guesting? I don't think so, but that's might not land like the insult the insult the author intends it to be. (I never listen to Coldplay but people like them.)

And the Stones have certainly had much worse lead singles.

I just rewatched it and I think Keith was just distracted...like he was looking over at Mick at that moment and then Conan asked the question and I think he probably didn't properly understand at all what he was even asking about since he was distracted with Mick and then he probably just understood that the question was like "you're singing on some of them (songs)" and that's why he said yeah I'm singing on some of them... at least this is what it came across to me when rewatching that bit and I hope Keith is fine but except for the fact that even after 60 years of handling mics he cannot properly talk into one, he seemed alright 🤣
