For those just tuning in, and because we are supposedly getting
more clues this Saturday, here's a brief recap...

It all started with a legit casting call for a new Stones video,
to be filmed March 30-31. They wanted all kinds of dancers, including
"Northern Soul"



This led to speculation that this new Stones song was a Soul cover,
somewhat supported by the fact that Steve and Darryl and Chanel have
been involved recently in the Muscle Shoals music scene, and because
there has been a credible report that the new song has a "60s vibe".

It has been much less credibly speculated (by me) that the Stones
may have been rehearsing in Muscle Shoals in early/mid-March. Further
circumstantial speculation (by me) points to rehearsals having
moved to London (after the Oscars) and that the video was shot at
London's famous Rivoli Ballroom.

Confirmed is the appearance earlier this week around London (not Toronto,
not anywhere else) of these posters...



"Jagger and co. have used the alias The Cockroaches before, most
importantly for the El Macombo gig in Toronto in 1977"

These posters led to thecockroaches.com where you can register
by providing your details including your WhatsApp. This UMG website
has contained the following images (including some that have been
ferreted out of the source code by sleuths over at iorr)





(1) note particularly the time 1:41 pm on saturday 4/11. (2) note the use
of the same font as used for Keith's famous t-shirt. (3) note the plain
record sleeve which again may point to a Northern Soul aesthetic.

Also:

Especially note the use of FIVE cockroaches in this gif. I th‌ink this
absolutely means (as I have long anticipated) the introduction of
Darryl and Steve as official members of the Rolling Stones.
I realize I am the only one in the world that thinks this (just like
I was the only one in the world to say that there would be no
Euro tour in 2025 nor 2026)

So, the bottom line currently, as I see it...

this is a real well-known rock musician and influencer from the Netherlands.
He is wearing a real official UMG promo t-shirt, for a real UMG product
and/or event...

the new clue at thecockroaches.com lends itself to my
"cover songs" theory

perhaps referencing the downbeat "B" side of their upbeat Soul single?
I mean, The Cockroaches don't just play one kind of music. They
play Soul, Blues, Zydeco, you name it. Sometimes even Druggie Rock...

Everybody in the media and on the forums is calling it a "1970s" bedroom
at thecockroaches.com

It is NOT 1970s. It is (importantly) a 2026 bedroom in a cheap shared
London flat...

The Karlsson flip wall clock certainly has a retro look, but it wasnt even
manufactured until 2006. The bedspread is 1960s, the postcard is 1940s,
the ticket stubs are from 1980 (maybe his grandfather gave them to him),
the plectrums are just something cheap to collect. Cheap used furniture,
a useless rotary telephone just for the vibe, and some used record finds.
The Bowie one is the best one he's found so far, but he still has no
record player. For now he makes due with his smartphone and earbuds,
listening to his favorite 1960s and 70's stuff. He enjoys Northern Soul and
Beatles-Stones nights at the dance clubs. And he's just today, by sheer
luck, and with the help of a mate, scored two Cockroaches tickets and
a poster. But he still really doesn't quite believe the rumours that its gonna
actually be the Rolling Stones...

...but hey, at least now he has somewhere exciting to take this girl he's
been crushing on since forever. She said Yeah! She shares a flat
right across the street from his. And now, damn it to hell, you've seen
her bedroom before he has lol...

the only media that has "confirmed" foreign tongues is the less-than-perfectly-
reliable noise11

i think it is much too common a phrase for a Rolling Stones album.
The Stones need a distinctive somewhat rare phrase to bolster internet
search results. Such as "hackney diamonds"

plus the foreigntongues.com website is owned and operated by an established
fashion brand

however i could maybe see "foreign tongues" as the name for a
Cockroaches limited-edition cover-songs EP (but definitely WITHOUT using
any Stones tongue as part of the artwork)

fun fact: the poet John Milton was appointed British "Secretary for
Foreign Tongues" in 1694. His job was to put the King's correspondence
into Latin and other languages as needed...
