I don't see why not. Although personally I would prefer MGK

Roll Me, i'm embarrassed to admit that all three of those vids are new to me

so thank you, I enjoyed them very much

the only negative is that they made me wish i was young again

which is an emotion i work hard and mostly successfully to avoid

i'm not a big or knowledgeable MGK fan

its just that every time i bump into one of his tracks, i like it

anyway, this is new info for me: Seems that recently out of the blue
Bob Dylan blasted out one of MGK's obscure tracks on his instagram.
Then they met and Bob has now done a spoken-word introduction on
MGK's new album. And Mick had him over for dinner in London
when the Stones were recording there a few months ago

(a thing that makes me go hmmm)

MGK talks all about it in this recent interview...

LEGENDARY rocker Ronnie Wood has confirmed The Rolling Stones’
next album is done.

Speaking at the band’s RS No9 shop in Carnaby Street, Ronnie said:
“Yes you will be getting a new album next year. It is done.”

Remaining coy as he signed copies of his new album Fearless, Ronnie said:
“Yes we are hoping to do some dates. Hopefully we will be back out there
but I am still waiting to find out myself.”

If there is a Summer tour next year then the album release must be around April/May I would guess.  Maybe even another Racket style gig in between.

Geogelicks (IORR) said the album should be released in April and BV is confident about a summer tour. 2026 should be a great year, indeed.

Georgelicks is not perfect. Like me he predicted that we'd get a
new album this year...

So I'll re-state my unchanged speculations , and add one new
one based on the fact that i can find online no other reason for MGK to
have been in london with mick this past summer...

Rev 20 Redlights wrote on Sep 28th, 2025 at 11:19pm:
-- new album will not be HD2/Diamond Dust, rather mostly 2025 stuff
-- new album will not be out until late 2026
-- no Euro tour or other tour based on geography
-- but any number of special gigs and festivals, some no doubt in Europe
-- a mostly covers EP like "Swamped" a possibility in connection with the
summer 2026 gigs. The autumn 2026 gigs will be in support of the album
-- rap-rocker MGK will guest on the new album on vocals, not
playing with Keith and the band.

Georgelicks knew about the exact release date for B&B Deluxe and shared with us fans well before the announcement. So, if he says the album is expected to be released in late April, I believe him without question. He, Juan Ignacio and BV are the most reliable sources that I know, when they speak, I listen. Plus, they're all talking seriously about the possibility of a summer tour, which is great news.

this vocals thing has not been speculated on enough yet. It seems clear to
me that the only thing going on at Olympic was vocals and some Ronnie
overdubs. Both for the new album and for Black and Blue

This is not wild speculation. This is exactly how Olympic was used for
Hackney Diamonds. Mick prefers it for vocals (on some tracks,
other times he sings with the band)

So where in London were Keith and the band holed up recording? For hours
and hours and hours. To Keith's heart's content. With no per-hour charges

I have speculated privately and now publicly that a funky rock and roll
studio was set up in one of those cavernous arched brick warehouses in
Hackney (and, if that is a tad too romantic a fantasy, my basic point is that
there are any number of industrial low-rent studio spaces around London
with max privacy and security where Keith and Andrew would have been
free to make the place their own and the band's home for five or six weeks)

In the previous post I indicated "Olympic Studios" as the vocal and
overdubs location in London. I of course meant "Metropolis Studios"

In the Record Collector interview, Marlon Richards said they were recording in Chiswick, which would almost certainly mean Mark Knopfler's British Grove Studios.

Thanks, Wick. That makes much more sense than what every other
media outlet reported, that they were at Metropolis, because Mick and
Andrew were sighted there...

“They’re in town right now, recording,” Marlon said in an interview for the
Rolling Stones edition of Record Collector, conducted back in May. “They’re in
Chiswick [West London] or somewhere like that."

Pete Townsend about British Grove Studios:

“You can work in the old way there, with old tape machines and mixing
desks, or you can just use the technology as it is now. The console in their
Studio 1, the Neve 88RS - which is huge - is the one that's used for
orchestral recording for Hollywood and stuff like that these days. Studio 2 -
same size control room, with an old, converted API console in it. So, if you
want the old '60s, '70s sound, you can get that too."

Mark Knofler:

"To me, it's the combination of flexibility and the relaxed attitude, where
the clock is not ticking in the same way as in other places used to make records."

Also, some of Blue & Lonesome was recorded at British Grove

...

ROYAL LAUNDRY love it !

Actually Revy, I think you had it right because I didn't know that Metropolis is also in Chiswick so if they were pictured there, then it's probably Metropolis.

Good point, Wick, but I interpret it differently, as part of the mis-direction
which led the media to say "Metropolis" (which I have disputed all along)

Metropolis is a fishbowl and a factory. Busy. Lots of per-hour mini-studios.
Mick just happens to like one of those mini-studios for some of his vocals.
I think he first used it for some of "Goddess"

My problem has been that I could not figure out where the Stones were
actually recording, I just knew it wasn't Metropolis.

You solved it. British Grove...

...which means Royal Laundry is now officially in the running for album title

FYI iorr's georgelicks has completely backed off his FIRM prediction
that the Stones new album of originals will be released in april 2026.
George now says that the April date is merely a "roadmap", subject to change

so, given George's retreat, please allow me to step into the breach by
freshening up my current very pure speculations

APRIL 2026 COVERS EP            OCTOBER 2026 ORIG LP

Does this mean the Summer tour is pushed back as well?

It would seem logical to release the album before the tour do that they can perform some if the new songs live.

So far I've only speculated on the 2026 EP/LP possibilities...

so i guess i'll take my first stab at what shows might happen in 2026

Last year I based my "no euro tour" call mostly on macro-economic factors

and those factors have grown even more unfavorable over the last year
(more discussion on this in two iorr.org threads "rumoured 2026 tour"
and "overpriced concert tickets")

so once again i'm guessing no euro (or american or asian) tour

just some high-profile small/mid size venues with unique setlists

royal albert hall? carnegie hall? ryman auditorium? red rocks? etc
maybe six or eight total shows spaced at least a week apart?

celebs and guests galore. big ticket prices.

but also HQ video tickets available, perhaps by subscription to the whole
series? or maybe as a series on netflix or apple or prime? with maybe
some backstage/rehearsal/travelogue stuff between shows?

something like that i'm guessing

OK...I was going to start a new 2026 Tour thread, but thought it silly since nothing has been announced.

I was hoping to start to plan some time off from work next year...I went to IORR to see what the rumors are showing for dates...
even with my issues with the maniacs IORR, I only have the highest regard and respect for BV.
A truly sweet guy who I've had the pleasure of meeting a few times.

No rumored dates posted anywhere in a place you can just look at quickly, Im afraid.
I went into the "Tour 2026" thread...what a fucking k-hole that place can be...

People already discussing tour opening acts...flights...setlists...my head was ready to explode from reading thru that mental diarrhea
...dont get me started on the quote and pastes....

Anyway...does ANYONE have any sort of rumor list for cities and dates...I will be in Europe mid-year and just want to know if
I have a glimmer of hope to maybe catch them over there next year.

I know they are prolly posted in that thread but all in pieces, I am sure.

Thank you in advance.

If y'all are in NYC Dec 19...There's a huge SHIDOOBEE holiday / Keef's Birthday party gathering at
Bowery Electric...these parties are always a blast!!

INFO HERE:  https://www.ticketweb.com/event/tattoo-you-a-shidoobee-holiday-the-bowery-electr...

I'm meant to fly back from vacation the day before...but I may fly up for this if I can find a bed to sleep in...
