5) ronnie is in fact currently NOW with the Stones in London
recording/rehearsing as needed by Mick/Keith/Andrew
6) and certainly nothing in the article refutes my claim that they
have a completed album coming out this year (HD2/Diamond
Dust
) and are currently recording material for still another
album after that

                              ...

FWIW, today, without citing a source, iorr's georgelicks
"confirms" that they have now been recording in London
for one solid month...

Addendum:
And now, serving to broaden my smile for sure, the great
and powerful Rockman has reinforced his earlier apparent
disclosure by posting (without further explanation) this pic:

New Stones, dude!

In response, all i can say is:

1.  IN  ROCKMAN  WE  TRUST

This is Old Londinium, mate.
Surely ''Diamnonds & Dustcarts', for starters.

Valcour Records has a new website "under construction". Ultimate
Classic Rock
says the Stones single will be released "this summer",
probably late June, same time as the album.

The new Valcour Records website is up now, so you can pre-order the
album there instead of Amazon. But no sign yet of the single, nor of
the Alligator Tongue...

https://www.valcourrecords.com/

...

(a minor point perhaps... or... do the two versions differ significantly?)

on the Alcour album, it is The Rolling Stones and Steve Riley

on the Alligator Tongue single, it is The Rolling Stones featuring Steve Riley

(I'd say this supports my earlier guess that the single is longer, with more
solos by mick keith ronnie)

Release date: June 27

Label: ARHOOLIE RECORDS
(Smithsonian/Folkways)

"Zydeco et Pas Sales" is a song with humble origins that gave it's name to
an entire musical tradition. Translating to snapbeans and no salt, a reference
to the hardships of rural poverty, the song had a long history in the
Louisiana countryside before it became a signature hit for Clifton Chenier,
known as the King of Zydeco. With just his voice, accordion, washboard, and
drums, Chenier fuses blues and R&B with the Creole and Cajun music
bedrock of South Louisiana to create music that moves you. Now, sixty
years after Chenier first recorded it, The Rolling Stones give the song their
signature treatment. "Zydeco Sont Pas Sales" turns the accordion-driven
classic into a rapturous rock'n'roll anthem. Sung entirely in French by Mick
Jagger and featuring the spirited playing of iconic Louisiana accordionist
Steve Riley, the Stones pay tribute to one of their musical heroes by
capturing the whole-hearted euphoria of Chenier's performances. This
limited edition 7" single features the Rolling Stones raucous version
of the song on it's South side. On the North side is a version from Chenier's
1965 sessions with Arhoolie founder Chris Strachwitz, offering a contrasting
take on the rollicking shuffle heard on his debut album. Taken together,
these two versions of the zydeco classic evidence the ways that the Black
music at the heart of zydeco and rock'n'roll-blues with it's depth and grit,
and R&B with it's cadence and soul-have traversed the globe and united
people and traditions.

(So, two unrelated labels so far, Valcour and Arhoolie. Will there be a
third? With Alligator Tongue logo and merch? My guess is yes.)

I need to confess that I really do expect them to do a surprise small gig
in London sometime this month. FWIW.

Gus Coral
...

Also I think I may have discovered where they have been recording/
rehearsing in London. I'm not going to say, because I think they're
still there. But here's a hint: it is referenced in the title of one of
their albums

Just a quickie to mention 'Rolling Stains: Seen But Not Unclean', or whatever it's called... the exhibition  of early black & white photos now showing in the dark The Cockside Vaults/Ivory House in St. Kathy Docks in E1 in London. Lovely snaps of the band in their early 'Comb On' days taken  by Gus 'Fly On The Wall' Coral on his trusty Pentax. Lots of fags (cigarettes) and ties aplemty (although Bill is shown wearing a dark polonec.).Charloe especially looks gorrrgeous. They all scrubbed-up well. Blues stuff, or Decca stuff played plus some of Exile. up up to Exle,  Old radiators shown. Tipples. Gals/ladies on door and bar sweet. Cheese £1.50  Early tour guests snapped too.
Lenstastic.

A further indication that gigs seem to be about to happen in England...

A contest run by UMG London, with a built-in advantage for UK residents,
with a UK only mailing list

It is common to build such a mailing list prior to ticket sales. Why else
build a UK only mailing list?

Royal Albert Hall July?

(not a Euro tour. After the UK, onward to the USA, sorta like the
early 1960s, but also promoting Diamond Dust and Vegas.
No more mega-tours. No more mini-tours. Gigs. Often on short notice.
Less about the money, more about the music, the legacy, the fun.
With ticket access, like at The Racket, tilted towards the young.)

Enter your details below before 23:59 BST on Sunday 22nd June 2025
to be in with a chance of winning a Limited Edition Hackney Diamonds
Tour Tongue Varsity Jacket.

Sign-up to the Rolling Stones mailing list for an additional entry. UK only.

This Sun/Mirror article is a near-perfect compilation of the
nonsense/disinfo that has been published in the iorr fan forum
over the last six months, all based on supposed leaks. For lack
of a better term, let's call it the mainstream narrative...

And then you have the alternative at-least-plausible narrative
that I've put forth in this thread, based on reasoned analysis.

Hmm. Mainstream narrative versus alternative narrative...

Just like with everything everywhere these days.

One funny footnote: While the Mirror article is just a slight re-write
of the Sun original, the Mirror headline is all their own, using
a stunning leaked quote from a source...

Stones "ready to release surprise album"

This is hilarious for two reasons: 1) no such quote or claim appears in
the article, and 2) this entirely made-up clickbait quote is the only true
thing in the entire piece (only its not the album they've been working
on currently, its the one they finished up in february)

bv has just given the Sun/Mirror article his full endorsement...

"It is not a rumour - it is a fact. The Rolling Stones i.e.
Mick, Keith and Ronnie, plus several of their support musicians, have been
at the Metropolis Studio London UK all through May and more i.e. 5-6 weeks
working on the songs for their next studio album, also more studio works
in the past, after the 2024 tour finished.
Save your money, get the new
album when it is out, and plan for at least one show of their next tour.
You will NOT be disappointed! Bjornulf"

1) bv said they would put out an album spring 2023. i said no, not til
christmas time. it came out at christmas time.
2) bv said they would tour 2023. i said they wouldnt. they didnt.
3) bv said they would tour 2024. i agreed. they did.
4) bv said they would tour Europe 2025. i said they wouldnt. they didnt.
5) now bv is saying we're getting a new album. i said that 6 months ago.
when? this year. october.
6) now bv is saying they are going to tour 2026. they aren't. but there
will be gigs here and there, starting this year, some small some large.
Taking the passion where they find it.
7) bv says this year's album will include the recent sessions. it won't.
it will include the things they finished up Nov24-Feb25 (i've put, in
bold above, bv's correct reference to these sessions)
8) bv, like the Sun, says the current sessions have been at Metropolis.
they havent. its still a secret where. only some vocal overdubs at Metropolis
9) THIS IS IMPORTANT. This year's album Diamond Dust is not
"leftovers". They intentionally put aside stronger HD material for the
follow-up (except for "angry". you can't get stronger than that).
10) remember, Hackney Diamonds are just glass. Diamond Dust is made
of the real thing.
11) bv: "The Rolling Stones i.e. Mick, Keith and Ronnie, plus several of
their support musicians"
My guess remains: Steve and Darryl are as of
now officially Stones. Contracts signed. The announcement before Oct.
12) So far I'm the only one anticipating gigs in England soon

Georgelicks is saying the album is 95% finished with just some overdubs and mixing to do to be completed by next month.  Also almost all of the recordings were done in these sessions which to me suggests either they have ditched the songs left off HD or they have re-recorded most of them.

We will probably need to keep our eyes peeled in the next few months for a Hackney Gazette style promotion.

If there is a tour they may do another gig similar to The Racket after release of the album to test how the new songs go down live.

Dita Von Teese's 'Diamonds And Dust' begins at the Emerald Theatre (London) on June the 16th.
As much as I'd quite like to see The Stones in nipple-tassels (or even marketing ones with tongue-logos), I feel maybe they shouldn't compete.
