Today I noticed how I'm still always recognising new little things when listening to FT cause I'm always paying attention to other stuff, depending on my focus, e.g. today I was listening to it on my commute back from work since for once I gotta go to the office this week 😅 also I extracted the instrumental track from each of the songs and listened to the instrumental of Bad Luck Hideaway on repeat in the morning while working on the train to block out the other people and it helped really well and I still could focus on my work 12/10 recommend lol tomorrow I wanna try Side Effects on loop^^

Keith said they wanted a portrait of the three of them and then the artist did all 3 of them in one picture

I didn't know Keith is good friends with Bruce Willis

I found it weird that they didn't get Ronnie's opinion and input of the cover art seeing how he's an artist himself, they mainly just asked Mick about it and a few snippets from Keith here and there...but it definitely was cool to hear Nathaniel Quinn talk about his collaboration with the Stones and talking to Mick and Keith

THIS RECORD STILL ROCKS...BEST RELEASE IN A VERY VERY LONG TIME.

Today I got my original CD/Blu-ray; I selected this option as I wanted to listen the first studio album released on this format. Previous blu-ray-audio albums were GRRR! with terrible sound, the didn't make any engineering for this "Pure-Audio" release and the other was the Black and Blue super deluxe edition with Blu-ray-audio

Great sound, I listened in Atmos, 7.1 and 5.1

You can hear clearly when Keith scratches his balls!

Literally same, it's insane this never happened to me before with an album that I had so many songs stuck in my head...every song on this album is catchy and has earworm potential, that's how you know the album is brilliant!

Still pondering the Some Girls v Foreign Tongues cage match.

I had two days to myself in the car this weekend, a nice Bose system to abuse, and put FT through its paces again. It holds up. Hasn’t lost any of its hold on me.

You can come up with your own pairings (if I did this tomorrow or yesterday, my pairings might be different; for now this will do), but for me these work as a thought exercise to get a feel for overall album strength:

PS: FT also has their most high-effort album art, including the innards, in decades, and has something in common with the SG art.

I don't think one can compare all the songs on FT to just all the songs on SG, some are fitting  others rather are fitting with different Stones albums, I made a comparison a few pages back and I find it way more fitting than just FT vs SG


Also did y'all see BV's latest post over on IORR lol he's jumping on this ridiculous Mick vs Keith train but those people over there neither seem to be able to properly read/hear nor actually see what's happening 🙄

Keith clearly stated in more than one interview that he wanted to focus on the album release and promotion this year and seeing how many interviews he did + the event in NYC + the other interviews for the Stones podcasts episodes, it's obvious why amongst all of that stuff he didn't also want to tour at the same time, seeing how he is 82 years old...but he also said multiple times he is open for touring next year and next year he has nothing else to do, and I believe that he actually meams this and he was very happy and excited when asked about whether he wants to continue with the Stones, he said there are no plans of retirement and what else is he gonna do, he has fun

Mick said on Conan that he delegates all that kinda stuff like where they show up and have interviews etc., so obviously it wasn't Mick but the management/record label who arranged this album launch thing in London and NOT in NYC this time so it would have been easier for Keith to attend, HOWEVER, as I pointed out some pages ago, Keith clearly also was sick with a cold in the Billboard interview which was conducted mere days before the London launch party, so to me it's more than just obvious why Keith wasn't present

Yet the blind idiots over on IORR are whining about Keith being disinterested in the Stones (try leading a 40 minutes interview at 82 years old while having a cold ffs 🙄🙄🙄) and Mick not having any compassion to do an album launch near Keith (I'm pretty sure Mick doesn't want Keith to die from pneumonia, so he probably also would have told him to stay home even if the event had happened in NYC, seeing how he said he actually talked to Keith on the phone the day of the event 🙄🙄)
