Just got an email for some kind of Stones Roblox game.

All I know about Roblox is that my grandkids play it. Dont have a clue myself.

Just watched those billboard interviews...absolutely adored them, especially how much Keith revealed about his songwriting process with Mick, it was so interesting...like he was also asked about if there's any tention or so between Mick and him when making new songs, and he said that it's not really worth getting into this stuff too much and if they disagree about something too much they just know the song isn't good yet and they put it away and might revisit it again in a year or so...

that's really interesting to hear tbh I love that they're over their silly squabbles and Keith even said that: when we get together and say, “Well, what have you got?” — “Oh, that bit fits with this.” In a way, we’re writing the same song without knowing it on the other side of the globe.

I thought this bit was really astonishing...also the article was right in the beginning when saying that they almost gave the same answers...it was so interesting to see how alike they are underneath all their more obvious differences...this was so great of Billboard to ask them the exact same questions

What the fucking fuck is that...

I mean I get the record label's/marketing people's idea of wanting to appeal to younger audiences, but let me tell you a little of myself in the 2000s (when I was around the age of that now targeted age group) playing computer games (FIFA, Football manager, yes I didn't play Barbie stuff but "boy" games LOL) anyway, so even 20 years ago when on our Windows XP PC without internet connection (we got that only in late 2008 cause rural area) they had games featuring music...

However, I never played the games and listened to that music and thought omg that song is so fucking amazing, I gotta know who the band is...I rather found my music with MTV music videos, so it's questionable whether people even will notice them via the games

And now just let's assume that some younger people these days (this clearly is aimed at 12-16 yos) plays these games and hears the new songs, and let's assume a few of them like the songs enough to look the Stones up online...

They'll see a bunch of old guys and probably be astonished as to why they're so old and still making music...so what might happen for some boys is: they think Keith is cool and wanna dress like him or play guitar like him, so they start listening to the Stones, best case scenario

But what's gonna happen for girls? They will see those grandpas and think WTF??? And then move on to another younger band who looks "cute" (maybe Hot Property lol) and that they can actually put up posters of in their bedrooms

How do you know it will pay them, it's not an actual concert, it's just a contest to win an in-game item and those kids nowadays are so addicted to these kinda games that of course they'll play it, probably without even noticing the music cause their attention spans is 10 second tiktok videos

Maybe their marketing team should post more stuff on TikTok to appeal to that generation xD speaking of social media, I mean I already knew this before, but Mick confirmed in the Billboard interview that he is doing his IG posts himself 😎

Also I'll not love it cause I haven't played video games in like...15 years? Doesn't appeal to me I rather read a book or write on one myself

You quoted something AI related above but whatever, if actually 10+ mio. people play this game they'll get 10+ mio music streams, so if they pay them for that it might be more than Spotify is paying them for their streams, so it's understandable they're doing this, plus their label/marketing is copying everything Taylor Swift does amyway, alas the 371826282 different vinyl versions^^

The good stuff starts at 3 minutes and at 3:47 Ronnie is playing the harp! This sounds fantastic, also his guitar playing is wonderful, he's keeping his fingers well-oiled for the Stones shows next year 🤭

But considering this, once more you gotta notice how Mick's a wonder of nature...all the jetsetting doesn't seem to bother him one bit...he was in London on June 30th for the Billboard interview (according to the photography credit), then he attended Taylor Swift's wedding in NYC on 3rd July and did some more interviews there before going back to London, celebrated Jerry's bday on the 6th (I saw pics she posted), did that listening party thing on the 7th, the release party on the 8th, hopped on another plane to Miami to attend the England quarter final on the 11th...he's fucking incredible...I'm about 50 years younger and just seeing this schedule makes me wanna cry tbh, even IF I could afford 1st class I wouldn't wanna do any of this 😅🙈 I'm starting to understand Keith more and more about those residencies tbh
