That instagram post - Mick mentioned that he thought Hackney Diamonds was their last record. I remember on the press tour he said it wasn't their last record.

I'd like to know at what point he thought this, and what happened to cause him to feel this way.

This concert photographer was there (probably alongside some other journalists)...judging from the pics he shared I'd guess there were no more than 30 people...I bet probably half of them were journalists/photographers

Also this begs for the question why Keith wasn't there too if even Andy was there... persobally, I'm 2nd hand disappointed by this

Would have been much better for them to play a Racket style show (seeing how at the Racket approx. the same amount of random lucky fans got in) cause then at least they could have recorded it and everyone could have been able to hear some new live songs...just a Q+A with some journalist, probably asking the same 10 questions about collab with Macca and Smith again, seems really fucking boring in comparison...probably that's why Keith wasn't there, didn't wanna be bithered to fly 9h just to answer yet the same questions again xD

This kinda bs falls in the same category as putting models up front for Shine A Light instead the real fans, who didn't even know the songs, couldn't sing along, and looked like they'd ratger be anywhere else than a Stones show 🙄🙄🙄

I cannot even roll my eyes as hard as I want to rn tbh...and no I'm not jealous for not being there I didn't even apply cause I had no holidays left to take off and go to London, but my best friend (she applied from Italy) literally would have been perfect to be there, she has a great style, dresses like in the 70s (like those people in the In the Stars vid), she posts a lot about the Stones and concerts on her IG, but I guess since she doesn't have a blue tick she was sorted out... so fucking annoying I swear... they don't even care about real fans

What utter bs 🙄🙄 the poor guy being there from Brazil for basically nothing this sucks...and this confirms my suspicion that they vettee applicants and chose them by social media following instead of true fans...I hate this, now I'm pissed, this ruined my excitement of the album 😑

I mean yes, we totally shouldn't be surprised but also this reeks of something the marketing team would come up with and Mick would jump onto because he seems to be obsessed with the idea to make their music popular among younger people without realising that there already are loads of younger fans at their shows and that it won't help them to have some random influencers post about them because those influencers usually post about other stuff, so their followers probably rather would be irritated instead of interested and this is what Mick doesn't fucking get, that he rather needs to address the young people who already come to their shows (so they will spread it further among their friends who might have similar interests) instead of random young people who rather listen to Taylor Swift or whomever and also have followers who listen to Taylor Swift or whomever

It's really a disappointment and such a pity tbh, they created such a phenomenal new album with songs like In the Stars and Divine Intervention that are begging to be played live, yet instead of simply coming up with a Racket style show in NYC like they did for HD, they're doing this kinda bs crap instead... amd it's not like they didn't have the chance, they literally were in NYC for the Apple interview only days ago, even at a recording studio, they literally could have rehearsed, but no, instead they give the same bs interviews for a bunch of influencers...a fucking disappointment...

Well at least I'm excited for the album again xD (but not because of whatever the fuck this marketing gag was but rather cause of the actual music)

After all they managed to pick at least one music influencer who at least is a Stones fan, so good for him!

One saying it's their best since Tattoo You.
