well, this sucks...
I have no idea why the rapper Future was not included in the
list above of July 10 releases, must have been a recent addition,
but this probably blocks any chance for a Stones USA #1

FYI, betting markets have Future's album as 87% to go USA #1
FYI, Future has never done better than #2 in the UK
out of the blue, without any betting market support, a K-Pop group...
ATEEZ ACHIEVES THIRD NO. 1 ON BILLBOARD 200 WITH ‘GOLDEN HOUR 5’
The interesting part is how they did it, with almost zero streaming.
They have a dedicated fanbase who heavily multi-purchased the
30+ CD variants...
As I've explained before, the USA algorithm-based charts are essentially
payola/organized crime. If the powers that be put you in the
algorithm, and feed your content to the passive-listening masses,
you get a hit. Otherwise, you better hope your dedicated fanbase
buys a lot of variants...
And, not incidentally, that is THE major reason the Stones stopped
recording albums. The game is rigged against them. They like ATEEZ
are not permitted into the algorithm, and so it was not until the
secret formula (variants plus hit-maker Andrew Watt) was discovered
that the Stones could get back into the USA chart game.
(next Sunday's chart the new Madonna, the week after The Stones and Future)
This is how honest charts would work: sales plus active individual
streaming choices. Passive listening would then be based on these
honest charts, instead of the other way around, with the official
charts being based on passive drone-like ear-bud sound-addicts.
