and missing from the Uncut reviewer's copy

has miraculously been restored on youtube !

maybe the missing-hot copies will be more rare and collectible, like coins

the plot thickens

When I listened to the new "hot" version on youtube, my ears said "this
mix is good, for sure, but not as good as the original "hotless" youtube mix"

not as "crystalline"

well, then of course i thought "Just your imagination, revvy. Chill."

but now iorr's ironbelly has proved that the two youtube mixes
are indeed different...

"The new remix is indeed a new, slightly different mix compared to the
one that appeared on youtube 3 weeks ago. There are tons of artifacts
after subtraction of the old remix from the new remix. The most striking
one, for sure, is the region around 2.50, the word 'Hot'. But the whole thing
seems to be remixed anew, or at least a bit differently treated/mastered.
All that residual 'moss' point to a different treatment of the file."

so, the Devil asked: "What do you most want, perfect instrumental
clarity or the missing word "hot"? "

All this hubbub has been fun, all this switching-out of various imperfect
Hot Stuff 2025 versions on youtube, spotify, review copies etc

But now I feel certain the Stones are just teasing us. As usual...

Come this friday, we'll learn the truth and have a good laugh. Just about
every purchased physical copy will turn out to contain both the perfect
Steven Wilson remix and the "missing" HOT. And then all the streaming
versions will also be corrected, and we'll soon forget all about this
tempest in a teapot
