So, while we're patiently waiting and hoping everything will work out and everyone will be fit for next year's tour in Europe, what other shows have you planned in the meantine/or any shows by other bands you wanna share experiences from cause you enjoyed them so much?

I'm seeing AC/DC this Saturday, already excited for this one, it's my first time seeing them Cheesy...then the Struts+Barns Courtney twice in October and Bad Nerves in November Smiley

3-4 bands the same day at different venues? What are you gonna do, use a time turner like Hermione in Harry Potter 3? Grin but that's an impressive list!

I will be seeing Twenty One Pilots at Ball Arena in Denver, Green Day w/ The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, & The Linda Lindas at Coors Field (also in Denver), and then I'll be seeing Illenium for the second time this year at Dillon Amphitheater. I can't wait for all 3!

The first time I saw Illenium was at Red Rocks Amphitheater and that was a blast. I got whiplash from head banging the whole time though XD! Before that I saw one of my favorite bands Polyphia and that was also incredibly fun!

I saw AC/DC last night, they were amazing! They played 21 songs in like 2h10min or so and Angus was still running around the entire stage, playing one-handedly, after 2h, incredible! He could go jogging with Mick and probably keep up quite well  Grin was really cool to get to hear all of those songs live, was a quite solid set-list, but I noticed that unlike the Stones they play the same setlist every show of the entire tour, which is a bit boring for people who attend more than one show...so I think we really have not much reason to complain about the Stones' (or Mick's) choice of songs 😅

I'm a big fan of 1980s music (as it was my era) and I enjoy those retro festivals they do.

Last week I was at one and saw Human League, Heaven 17, Peter Hook (New Order) and  Altered Images.

Wed nite I went to go see BEAT....featuring guitar genius Adrian Belew and the world's greatest bass player, Tony Levin.
Steve Vai and the drummer Danny Carey (Tool) filled out the rest..
An explosive, life affirming evening!
No other band can play like this. None.
Vai not only played the Robert Fripp parts amazingly, he enhanced them.
Carey was up to the task...well above the task.

I saw King Crimson the first time (of about 15 combined shows) in 1983 at Pier 84 in NYC...The Dr Pepper Music Festival!!

That nite was the most incredible, musically enlightening nite of my life.
The other nite was a contender for the title!

Thought of you, VOO!

Catch them if you can:

Went to see the Struts and Barns Courtney last night on their double headliner tour, the Struts were fucking awesome, as always, they played their new song that's gonna be published next week:

Was my first time seeing Barns Courtney and they were SO fun omg! The guitarist looks like he could play early 70s Keith in a Stones biopic  Grin xD

Gonna see them again on Sunday and will do a m&g with the Struts, I'm excited Grin

Speaking of small clubs...I saw them again last night and Luke mentioned they haven't played a venue that small in ages, there were like 200 people, it was crazy, I was standing right in front of the stage, there was no rail, Barns Courtney was unhinged af, he performed barefoot, was standing on the speakers half of the time which were swaying and I was scared he would fall and break his neck lol and at one point he lied down right in front of me at the edge of the stage on his back and I had to hold his shoulder so he wouldn't fall off 🤣 at onother point he grabbed my phone and first filmed himself and then us together singing Supernatural, it was fucking awesome!

Plus I met the Struts before the show and Luke complimented my Stones shoes 🤭 he was really sweet 💜

I hope to upload some more videos later, on the train rn, but for now, this of Barns and also his Keith-lookalike guitarist Andrew Berkeley Martin hahaha, I got one of their guitar picks, but sadly don't know whether it was used by Barns or Andrew because it was just lying on stage and I asked a roadie for it xD

Also after the show I talked to the supporting act James Bruner who were totally awesome, I filmed one of their songs and posted it to my IG:

Some more songs I recorded:

I gotta say hands down the show on Sunday was the best concert I ever went to in my entire life (with the exception of the Stones because they are something else entirely, but e.g. I liked them WAY more than other big acts like AC/DC, Foo Fighters or Red Hot Chili Peppers) the Struts and Barns make me wanna go to dozens more of their shows, they're both so incredible and total fun! If you haven't yet you should 100% check them out!

LOL as far as I remember I replied this, but here I go

I’m going to see them! What a great band and what a great music!

I saw Steve, Adrian, and Tony the first week of NOvember in 1981: On November 1 (Steve with Frank Zappa the day after Halloween) and November 5 (Adrian and Tony with King Crimson at The Savoy), when I was living in NYC. Since then, I have seen Adrian and Tony several times with King Crimson, Tony also with Peter Garbiel and solo. Steve only that time and this is going the first-time seeing Danny Carey.

Second row, Tony’s side. I bought our tickets the very first day, but the first rows (center) were for VIP Packages (very expensive, I prefer to warm up, you know)

Two of the members played with Frank Zappa, but in the case of Steve, Frank Zappa composed a song for and about him, “Stevie’s Spanking” (his name is Stevie Vaaaaaai and he’s a crazy guuuuuuuy”

Studio version:
