https://bc.ctvnews.ca/rolling-stones-vip-ticket-holders-kept-in-tunnel-for-90-mi...This is utterly terrible...the fact someone actually died, how awful :/
I don't understand why the venues don't take into account such factors as weather and available space...e.g. in Orlando it was hot af as well and vip ticket holders actually mentioned that they were glad they were let inside earlier so they were out of the sun, but there also was enough space to wait inside, and not just a narrow tunnel as it appeared to have been in Vancouver...
Plus maybe now that they know the soundcheck only starts at 5pm during this tour they maybe should overthink when vip entry actually needs to start...I think they really ought to be more flexible to changing situations and not blindly stick to protocol
I really apprecciated the staff at Metlife stadium, because they actually listened to what we had to tell them (for the 2nd show, after the entry at the 1st was a bit rude at one point from staff side and we were yelled at) and then they changed their approach after sone suggestions made by me and others who talked to them and everything went perfect the 2nd time, and the staff even thanked us for telling them how things are working at Stones shows with the vip/normal pit entry and everything because it's different for every band of course...
