Would gladly go to shows in all of those countries you mentioned, but apart from getting to see them in London one more time, I'm hoping for excuses to go back to Rome, Dublin or Edinburgh, beautiful cities that I've spent far too little time at during my past visits...and combining this with a Stones show would be even better Cheesy

Think they'll add a show in Switzerland too, seeing how they couldn't make Bern happen last time...wouldn't mind Copenhagen or Prague either hahaha

If they actually wanna play in Switzerland, it would have to be in May or June (depending when the tour starts), seeing that in July there will be the women's Euro in Switzerland and all football stadiums will be in use

quite a depressing photograph...

why? because it means that the hackneyed-vanilla-fallon era will not
be ending as soon as i hoped...

no album this year, not til the end of next year

but i guess in stones-time, two years between albums still counts as "soon"

sadly my forecast remains the same for no big shows next year,
due to world events

Mick can hang out with whomever he wants without it meaning anything for their music, especially when Jimmy Fallon is a TV show host and not a producer...like what's your take then on Andy Watt being there for many shows of the HD tour and being backstage/at soundchecks, seeing how he produced HD, would this in your opinion also be a continuation of the HD era and would you rather want Don Was back??

Imo I think the next album ANYWAY will be a continuation of HD and probably simply will be called HD2 because they recorded a lot of it already during the same sessions...

1) Mick "signifies", that is, signals in everything he does. As Keith
once put it, Mick is never being straight with anybody, he's always
playing an angle 2) there are two reasons i've decided that Hackney
is not my cup of tea, the compositions and the mix, both of which Mick has
taken credit for. I've never said one bad word about Watt's or Keith's
contributions 3) and i've recently praised Mick for letting us
know with his signifying lyrics that most of his HD compositions are,
just like with Satanic, slightly nasty jokes 4) there is no part of the
Hackney Diamonds saga less Stones-ey and more ludicrous than that
live theatre "show" with Fallon in London. I'm not disputing that it was
probably a good business decision for Mick to align the Stones
with fallon, sydney sweeny, and mainstream usa in 2023. That Mick
has chosen at this moment to signal, via fallon, that nothing much has
changed yet, thats very significant. So no point releasing now
the more sincere and challenging tracks they have from the Hackney
sessions, the world is still too deaf and dumb.

1) paraphrasing a similar quote from Linda Ronstadt, about her time hanging
out with Mick: He's as good as they say, and as bad. Its like he's always
offering you a beautiful red apple, and even though you know its slightly
poisoned, you take it anyway
2) So i've been thinking a bit more about
the beautiful red apple Mick gave us a few years back, the Fully Finished
Outtakes
, and now I know why 3) he was testing the market, to see if
fans these days preferred the half i went crazy over, the brilliant but very
different stuff they kept in the can in the 80s 90s because it wasn't commercial
enough, or the other half, the familiar but second-rate songs 4) and judging
by what i read on the various fan forums, the clear winner was the second-
rate classic-sounding tracks 5) So they gave the people what they wanted,
the shiny waxed apple of Hackney Diamonds. Don't mind the maggots.

The following from Stones twitter today. Hopefully it signals
the kind of stuff we'll get from them next time around.

I Go Wild! “I like that song. I really got into the lyrics
on that one. One of the wordy ones.” - Mick Jagger

Daylight drabs and night time witches
Working girls and blue stockings
Dance hall babes and body poppers
Waitresses with broken noses
Checkout girls striking poses
And politicians' garish wives
With alcoholic cunts like knives

What world crisis are you referring to in regards to claiming the Stones will take 2025 off?

Do you seriously think that Mick Jagger leaked the Fully Finished Outtakes to find out what fans liked? That’s utterly ridiculous and it boggles my mind how you come to these conclusions. You sound like a conspiracy theorist.

As i explained earlier, it took me about nine months of puzzlement to reach
this (unpopular) conclusion...

Its too bad i didnt see until now the following Sept 2023 quote from Mick (as
reported by Timeisonourside). It would have clued me in a lot sooner...

"The songs on Hackney Diamonds, some are funny,
some are a joke, some are tongue-in-cheek, and
some are a little bit more serious."

In Darryl Jones' new interview, he says...

“I’m looking forward to getting a band together for next spring and both
before and after the next Stones’ tour. There’s a lot of material that they’ve
already recorded, quite a lot from this last record as well. So I think there’s
material for a new record."

Unfortunately that's about as clear as mud as far as what if anything the
Stones have planned for 2025. All we've learned is that Darryl is getting
his own band together for springtime, which i guess is less than encouraging
for the preponderance of fans who expected the Stones to be active in that
timeframe

It says he wants to get a band together "before and after the next Stones tour"...it's perfectly fine for Darryl to play some shows in like March and April and then tour Europe in June and July with the Stones like they did in 2022, no problem at all here, if anything, in this interview Darryl literally confirms the next Stones tour

Plus, as the rehearsals for this year's tour showed, Darryl doesn't even have to be present for the entire rehearsals, seeing how he was out sick for some time this March/April before the Stones started the US tour and this other guy jumped in instead (forgot his name but Bernard posted a pic with him)

The question is perhaps...Can they/have they come up with some tracks as pumpy, groovy, lovely, layered and playful as, say,  'Hot Stuff' and 'Luxury' from the Live On Elle Macpherson album or whatever it's called?  One awaits with bated trousers.

Rolling Stones turned down $20 million to
play 4 songs this past Saturday in Australia

(anyway so says the headline, while the text of the article seems
to indicate that $20 million was their asking price, and it was the
Aussies that balked)

(there is a related story out there that says the FIFA World Cup
Final will for the first time feature a half-time show in 2026)

i think its fair to say that the preceding was received as a bitter disappointment
by Stones fans.  The equivalent of coal in our stockings for christmas...

but the Stones just tweeted something that has me thinking MAYBE...

tweeted the great song/vid from what i believe is regarded as the
best bonus disk ever

Hackney Diamonds Deluxe as our surprise for christmas?  I don't know
about y'all, but i've been a very good boy

I have a feeling that they either already are/or might soon start working some more on those new songs Wink idk if some release before Christmas is realistic but somewhen within the first 4 months of next year maybe...

And then followed up by the European tour, two guys on IORR who always seem to have inside knowledge about French shows basically confirmed a Paris date for 17th May yesterday, and there even might be a 2nd show added there...which I'd totally apprecciate, only travelling to a place once and getting 2 shows out of it is always the best option Grin plus I was told about the likely tour start date and place (a few days before that Paris date) by a friend who got the info from a friend working in the industry but I promised her not to share publically Lips Sealed
