Spread across four 180-gram LPs in three gatefold jackets, one 1 Blu-ray in an exquisite 7.1 and 5.1 surround sound mixes by Steven Wilson, Eddie Kramer and Jakko Jakszyk, two CDs, two 7” singles Picture Sleeves and believe it or not a cassette tape in Chrome Cr2O!!
Why in the 33rd anniversary? Because it’s the age Jesus Christ had when he was killed by the Romans and the age Zarathustra decided to leave his life in the mountains and return to the so called “civilization”.
Included are incredibly intimate demos for song ideas The Stones recorded themselves on a reel-to-reel tape at the Drake Hotel, as well as early recording session takes featuring guest appearances from Jeff Beck, Robbie and Sly, Chuck Leavell, Steve Marriott, Brian Jones and Shirley Watts.
Deluxe Edition includes a full color, 48-page book containing Ronnie Wood painted lyrics, a poem, Annie Leibovitz never seen pictures of the album cover sessions and of the never seen alternate cover, as well as never before published photos from the recording sessions that were shot by Steve Lillywhite himself. All contained in a luxe case made lift top box with new cover art which is true to Ronnie Wood's original vision of the album's cover, it contains also a 12” lithograph!! Release date is June 31, 2019
