Oooh, TOUGH choice in the poll. Of course I'm tempted to vote for my own MANopause, which has caused me to weep and shit liquid - oops, I just meant "weep" but my keyboard automatically finishes all my words with phrases Joey stole from MaxLugar. I meant my menopause has made me weep during "Rolling Stone blues" every time I listen to the entire album. The sequencing of the songs is perfect.

My first thought about Dreamy Skies was that it sounds like it could've been on Beggar's Banquet. It sits in the sequence of songs perfectly. This is an album with no pee breaks.

Anyway I voted for the "C10 Behind the Music" option. I'd love to see bad actors with bad wigs playing the old gang. And the TRUE story of our rampage through the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has never been told.

Honky Tonk Woman - he wrote that beloved song which is played in honky tonks every day and night in the US, so maybe he has to get away from it all because it's a bad thing? It just sounds to me that he (the protagonist in the song) has simply
placed himself in self-exile to sort his mind and
think about the next path in his personal journey.
Many of us have been there, myself included.

Nearly everyday I said, "what the hell am I doing here??"
I was a city kid in the boonies of upstate NY...but then I remembered,
I was there to "get away from it all" and to think about my next move in life.
I dont think the line in the song is a dig at Hank Williams or Honky-tonk music,
but rather a dig at the awful, predictive playlist on the only AM radio station he gets clearly.
The real question to think about is what exactly is the "it" in "I've got to take a break from IT all"...

Here is some food for thought....It's all a trilogy....

Do you think its merely coincidence that Whole Wide World plays just before Dreamy Skies??
Read those lyrics then read the lyrics of DS....WWW is the prequel to DS....

Was it a woman who was the reason to take a break from it all??
Well, now in Mess It Up, he's back in the groove and runs into the BITCH that caused him
to go into exile in the first place to clear his head and "take a break from it all"...
