A rumoured venue for Paris is Hippodrome de Longchamps, which is a racecourse. Saw them there both nights on the Voodoo Lounge Tour - about 85,000 each show. With Bon Jovi supporting.  Grin

Has this been documented anywhere??? :

Mick is said to be gutted to have had to give up on the Eiffel Tower idea

I swear those maniacs on IORR know EVERYTHING...and not just about how the Stones emote, but on how to plan a tour, assemble a stage, tear down a stage...and the inside story on the never mentioned except in sheer hopes, the Royal Albert Hall show many swear will happen.

San Siro is due to be demolished soon  and replaced by a new stadium right beside it. Dont know if theres a definite timeline for this, but it could be one of the last chances to see a concert in it.

FromWIKI:

On 24 June 2019, AC Milan and Internazionale announced their intention to build a new stadium to replace San Siro. The new 60,000 capacity stadium, which would be constructed next to San Siro, is anticipated to cost US$800 million and would be ready for the 2022–23 season. The design of the new stadium is said to be based upon the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

Guns-n-Roses is also playing there July 10, 2022

Yeah. It wont be demolished by this summer, never mind have the new one ready by August!

Its beginning to sound like the chaos when Wembley was rebuilt.  Closed late 2000. Demolished 2002.  New one was supposed to open in 2003. Wasnt ready until May 2007.

There is definitely a different atmosphere and air to the Stones European gigs. I believe they played the San Siro at least twice before in 03 and 06. In 03, the Cranberries opened, and in 06, Italy had won the World Cup and Del Piero and Materazzi joined them on stage for a celebration with the crowd. The Italian shows are always special. I forgot which tour it was when Mick did Con Le Mie Lacrime.

Spot on. Yes, 2006. A couple of days after Italy's World Cup win.

Italy's previous World Cup win was  in 1982. The Stones played in Turin that afternoon, with Mick correctly predicting that they'd win that evening's game 3-1. At the second show the following day (on the 20th anniversary of the first Stones gig), the Stones were introduced onstage by a couple of players from the Italian team. Claudio Gentile was certainly one of them.

Never knew about this. Looked for pictures on the web and didn't find any, but found this picture from around that time: https://footballreport.blogspot.com/2020/08/claudio-gentiles-verdict-on-juventus

bv now listing Brussels for July 11, so if thats accurate its safe to say if thats accurate the rumoured theatre show in London (if it happens) wont be taking place on the band's 60th anniversary. I guess the logistics for the other shows made it unfeasible. Either that or they're simply not that sentimental.

So, I guess if that show comes off it'll possibly be between the two rumoured Hyde Park dates (ie, around 29th June) or between Hyde Park 2 and Brussels, (ie around 7th July)

Still expecting a couple of Scandinavian dates and another German show. There are also rumours of a show in Berne.

I woke up to this email:

The fan presale for the Rolling Stones SIXTY 2022 European tour commences tomorrow,
Wednesday March 16, at 10am (local time), through to Thursday March 17, at 10pm (local time).

FYI:
UK is 4 hours ahead of New York.
The continent is 5 hours ahead of New York

The link to access the presale and your code is below.
https://rollingstones.com/tour/

Code: ROCKSOFF

PS: Not a joke, that's actually the code!

Looks like the AXS and AMEX presales are already in full swing.
Travel packages are all sold out for Liverpool. Hyde park tkts for 112 BRP available with Amex pre-sale.
You can even put down a down payment of 10% and pay the rest off in 60 days...for the poorer AMEX card holders, I suspect.
This system just blows for normal everyday fans...

Tickets go on general sale on Friday March 18
.
