1) Kent Online asked the same question 10 years ago, and apparently never
got an answer...

Are you in this school picture with the two lads who went on to be global rock superstars?
Or maybe you are on the register alongside Michael Phillip Jagger and Keith Richards.
What happened to Robert Pyman, sandwiched on the list of names between the legends

2) We do know that coming between Mick and Keith is never advisable. I mean, y'know, Brian Jones...

3) Staff at Wentworth Primary say the grounds remain a beacon for
keen tourists on the hunt for information about the legendary band.

Deputy head teacher Paul Langridge said: "It is a great talking point for the school that we
have two international superstars who sat on the same hall floor that the children do today.
We have had Japanese, American and German visitors come and take pictures and film so
it's nice that our school in Kent has become an attraction. We do use the stories of Sir Mick
and Keith as a source of inspiration for the children and tell them you can achieve like they did."

Because Bill Wyman complained about the wording on the Dartford plaque...

...a new, more appropriate, more historically accurate plaque has been installed

Of course this is just a placeholder until fabrication of The Colossi of Freedom
is completed in Steeltown USA (Columbus OH). The huge pieces will travel by rail
to Philadelphia where they will be loaded onto the deck of the nuclear carrier
USS Hillary Clinton for transport to, and assembly in, Dartford. The finished
statue(s) will stand in excess of 400 feet tall, a heartfelt gift from the people of
the USA to their dear friends, the people of the UK.

BBC report (from ten years ago):

On the morning of 17 October 1961, Mick Jagger, then 18, arrived on platform 2 of
Dartford Station to travel to the London School of Economics where he was studying.

Shortly afterwards, 17-year-old Keith Richards arrived on the same platform.
He was on his way to Sidcup Art College, carrying his hollow-bodied Höfner cutaway
electric guitar.

Mike Still, assistant manager of Dartford Museum, has researched this
famous encounter.

He said Jagger was holding some of his prized blues records and the two teenagers
recognised each other as they had both attended Wentworth Primary School in the
town. A conversation about music began which continued on the train and led to
Richards joining the group Jagger fronted called Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys.

That meeting at Dartford train station is believed to be one of the most important
moments in the foundation of The Rolling Stones...

Mr Still said Stones fans come to Dartford to re-visit the famous meeting and trace
the roots of the Stones. "People do visit Dartford purely for the connection, I know that
for a fact," he said. "People come into the museum asking about that."

Jagger and Richards, as any student of rock mythology can tell you, met on a platform at
Dartford Station on the morning of 17 October 1961. Their next show at the SoFi Stadium,
on Sunday night (17 October) will mark exactly 60 years of the prototypical rock partnership.
Their diamond anniversary. Few marriages last this long, and even fewer bands. Throughout
their turbulent relationship, Jagger and Richards have fought, feuded, sniped and publicly made
fun of each other’s genitalia, but somehow they’ve always come back to each other. What’s even
more remarkable is that by tonight’s evidence, impossibly, they’re still at the top of their game.
