The Stones back again in the Paradiso Amsterdam 2020? That would be too good to be true right? But in a way it is happening again. On the 5th of november Paradiso is showing the legendary concert of 26 may 1995 again on a large video screen in the Paradiso!  I remember that moment so well. At that time I was 23 and Amsterdam was the place to be at that time. Our Amsterdam the real football club Ajax just won the Champions League. There was a great vibe in Amsterdam at that time and rumors were the Stones would play in a small venue in Amsterdam. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get tickets for the secret Paradiso show. But the Stones have always been very generous to the Dutch fans, so they put a huge screen on the Museum Square in Amsterdam and they streamed the concert for free. 80.000 people were watching this show on a huge screen and untill this day it has been the most amazing concert experience I have ever witnessed.  This time I hope to relive that magical moment again. And yes once again watching a screen in the Paradiso. This time I'm going to watch it together with my 19 year old daughter. Who is actually looking forward to see it. It means she will drag me around the next few years to Twenty One Pilot concerts. It is such a small price to pay  Smiley

Thats great. Hope you both enjoy it

There were actually two nights at the Paradiso in 1995. Both were filmed for the 'Stripped' TV special and live album

The first night (26th May) was the show that was released in full on the 'Totally Stripped' box set in 2016.

The 27th May show was the one that was broadcast on the big screen in Museumplein. There's a video of it out there (although obviously there's a few heads and trees occasionally in the way!)

'Totally Stripped' was a fantastic release. Would have been nice if they'd included the second Paradiso show in it to complete the set of four theatre/club shows that summer but that a minor gripe.

I just watched it 2 weeks ago for the first time.
Its on AMAZON or NETFLIX, cant recall which one...a bit too much patting themselves on the back for "keeping it real" and "returning to simpler ways/times" but still...it was enjoyable to watch.

I wish they'd do that kind of thing more often (and I mean for fans, not for high rollers)

I'd pat each of their little backs so much they'd probably be burping up the food they were eating back in 1995.

This is pretty sweet, love those club shows.

I second the releasing the second Paradiso show. That had the most interesting set list of them all IMO with "Still a Fool" and "Jump On Top of Me."

Never knew this, especially Jump on Top of Me. Lots of other bands do this, although not too many of the mega ones. The bottom line is probably a mixture of not enough money and the organizational stress is too much. Still, they hardly do this type of thing on non-Stones time so it seems like they can't be tossed. As pointed on the board before, this show also had Connection - with Mick also singing like the original. Easily in the top 10 gigs I wished I had been at.
