Listening to the new Captain Acid remaster that just came out; this has always been one of my favorite Stones shows of the 2010's. The band was really in great shape that night, especially Keith. "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" was wonderful, killer "Rambler," "Sympathy," "Satisfaction," etc. And maybe it's the mix but this has to be one of the most explosive live "Gimme Shelter"'s I've ever heard.
Yes that gimme shelter was awesome. There's a point during Keith's solo where he was in a bit of a trance and got lost for a split second. Ronnie instantly took over the lead lines and Keith played the most perfect chord over it without missing a beat.
You can't always get what you want was cool too. The audience got lost and started singing a bar behind. Instead of correcting or stopping the audience just went with it for quite s while and sang the chorus through one of the verses. It made for a cool remix.
Brown sugar was awesome too. "Turn the lights on Patrick! "
