1. Route 66 was written by Bobby Troup, the same actor who played Joe Early on Emergency. Damn, I used to love that show. (Incidentally, Troup was married to Julie London, the actress who played Dixie McCall on the same show, who also, if memory serves, was one of my first crushes. However, I already knew they were married and found that out years ago.)

2. Rickenbacker has discontinued both its 620 and 660 models for some strange reason. I find this heartbreaking. It is as if they are saying, "We can't be selling guitars with necks so easy to play and with jangles so jangly even your aunt Phyllis will start to tap her toes." This has put me in a surly mood, and I shall now retire to the tub. Alert me if they find a cure to the Coronavirus.

Oh, and htf did Randolph Mantooth make it all the way to Hollywood and not get a stage name?
