I was very happy to see the Sonny Rollins era end. He almost hijacked the 81 tour and bored the crap outta me.

Sonny never played a single show with the Stones. He overdubbed his sax parts on 'Slave'with wonderful results  - but as SW says, Ernie Watts was the second sax player in '81.

I doubt any sideman would or could hijack a Stones show. They play as much as the band allows them to. Personally, I thought Ernie's contributions were great.
