I noted this at the time, but its undeniable now

The "ride em" pandemic is worse than ours

Nearly everyone has died while sheltering in place

Thus for the "lucky" few who seem to have genetic immunity,
at this point its still a bit of a wonderland

Always fantasized about a classic Mustang? Take it. Picture yourself
behind the wheel of a super-charged police cruiser? Its yours.

Kristen has obviously run into the grungy dude in the cop car before.
Its not the virus she's worried about with him, its his desire for her.
Notice her grab the tire iron to defend herself if she needs to.
Fortunately his main interest is where she found a working
petrol pump.

Thus its not just the stones she's dancing to. Its the fact that she
was able to get a full tank. (but she's not as stupid as the person
who filled their vehicle with sub-standard containers of petrol
and so burned themselves to a crisp at the intersection)

With the zookeepers dead, the zebra is one of the escapees, come
down to the drainage canal to get a drink in parched LA.

For now, for kristen, its just the joy of the open road with a hot car and free food.

But if we were able to watch the rest of this movie, it was going to
quickly become, of course, in classic hollywood style, Kristen's struggle to survive.
