My assistant at work husband was diagnosed with the virus yesterday and has to self quarantine for 14 days. The office can be contaminated so everyone gets 2 weeks off work.  Lucky for me I took the day off for a Dr appointment so I wasnt exposed.

Shits getting real.

Yeah it is...My wife has had 3 patients who have tested poz...she's a dialysis RN and her floor is considered essential while 80% of the hospital is dark/shutdown...the whole world is upside down...
The pressure is getting to her...

I lost a friend 2 weeks ago (no, he didn't die), but he's totally lost his mind and we had words...bad words, which nearly led to blows...(I couldn't land a decent punch if you were sleeping)...the pressure has gotten to him badly...not talking to his wife, lashing out at friends (I was not the only one) and firing staff...he was my landscaper...he's busy, but with reduced help, he is totally off his game professionally and mentally.

Take care of yourselves folks...we will get by....we will survive.

I dont know for sure but she showed no symptoms but someone said she could of been carrying the virus before the symptoms showed up or she may never get it. I dont know for sure.

So far she hasnt been able to be tested because its a fvcking hassle trying to get it. I tried calling my Dr for a test and the Dr's arent administering the tests in their offices. You have to go to a big testing site where hundreds of people with symptoms are waiting to be tested. No thanks!

It looks like parts of the world are opening up again. Looking at the statistics, elderly and sickly are most at risk with 70% of the deaths. Not many cases in children and young people. Still its worrisome and some people predict a second wave of this. I've listened to so many Dr.'s and experts on TV but nobody knows for sure. Time to take our chances and reopen, or better to wait it out until it goes away is the argument.

I called the governor's mansion today and asked to book a tour.  I was told that they would not be scheduling any more tours until June. When asked why the rest of the state is being opened but the mansion isn't, they hung up on me.

The experts say there has to be 2 weeks with no new cases for it to be safe to reopen.  That is possible but you have to wait for it.

I'm here in Georgia and been self isolating for over a month now. Tempted to get a tattoo or go bowling but im going to wait. I understand the devastating impact on peoples finances and future and aren't going to judge those that are desperate from doing what they feel they need to. I'm lucky that I can ride it out with no immediate worries. I can't seem to find any real evidence of how long someone can be a carrier and display no symptoms. Because if that is an indefinite period eventually this thing can blow up again even if we all have been isolating  etc. That's the real scary part for me. Hope you are doing well and are safe. For now I'm just Living in a Ghost Town.....

I'm actually on a leave of absence from work due to foot surgery. They've had a case of Covid19 at my workplace in my absence and several cases in the same county, so you can imagine how eager I am to go back.

I've never gotten cable, satellite or anything because it's just me and my pets here. I wasn't home much so it seemed like a waste of money. But I've run out of DVDs and Blu Rays to watch. Unfortunately this is about when I can least afford to get satellite or cable.  So my days are full of:

Knit, knit, knit, knit, kni--Stop that
Purl, purl, purl, pu--I said quit
Knit, kn-- GET YOUR CLAWS OUT OF MY YARN

Oh, and there's beer. Nothing much else.

We had a formation of B-52s (not the ones from Athens, GA) fly over the Big Easy the other day.

I gave them a couple of fortune cookies and pointed the way to Beijing.
