The band played so well this year and really seemed to enjoy themselves that one would hope if able they would want to continue? (or sadly pack it in on a high note)

So much unrest and financial issues in most of South America and the state of their ticket ask.....you have to wonder if they will venture there. Maybe a quick jaunt to Australia followed up by a run in Japan....short break and summer in Europe ending in London? Maybe 15 total shows using current staging. My sources are still drunk and not currently active so this is just me meandering.

According to Bjornulf on IORR, the next tour will be March/April and will consist of shows in Asia (mostly Japan, including the New National Stadium in Tokyo) plus a few shows in Australia. 

The usual amount of gigs - 15 or so

The new stadium in Tokyo will be the one used as the Olympic Stadium which starts on 24 July next year. The first event scheduled for it is due to take place in January, so presumably the Stones want to be one of the first musical acts to perform there

Think we can forget about North America or Europe for 2020. If there are to be any more shows next year, South America is the most likely.

They can do a few repeat markets too.

LA new stadium is already booking acts - Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift. As of now the stadium is it's own draw and also the Rose Bowl didn't quite satisfy demand and I thought it was odd NJ and Chicago got 2 but LA only got 1.

Also the new Las Vegas stadium is going to be finished on 7/31. This would make a great opening.

NYC could get more.

Then a few in Canada.

Might even be able to swing Mexico into the NA leg this time.

Eastern Canada (Halifax or Moncton or Quebec City)
Hartford, CT or State College, PA (huge stadium, wanted Stones in 2015)
NYC x 2 (Maybe the other stadium)
southern show (Charlotte/Atlanta/
midwest (something weird like Green Bay or Notre Dame stadium)

Last week I was sipping Tequila at the pool in Hotel California in Todos Santos Mexico when a chap sat down near me and with little else to do we started chatting. Long story short it turns out he is close to the recording process of the new Stones record (engineer or studio technician or something) and he goes in to saying how incredible the new songs are, "classic drug fueled Stones" I believe he described them, "right up there with Sticky Fingers or Exile". He also mentioned something about Keith not letting Mick inject any of his silly "techno pop rubbish" onto what may very well be their last studio effort.

Anyway, make of it what you will,even though some good Mexican blow, weed and Tequila were present during the conversation.

So, another US tour this year. There were rumours about some London, Uk gigs at the end of the leg. Really hope that will happen.

Great news about the tour announcement! Yeah there should be a couple more cities added - I've heard Austin TX. It would be crazy if there are no NY or LA area dates included. Those are guaranteed sell outs and high ticket prices.

They played the NY area and Pasadena last summer, so its normal practice now in a touring rota that has relatively few shows to play entirely different markets each time around.

Detroit and Minneapolis now also seem quite likely to get a show, going by the billboards spotted around those cities in the last 24 hours.
