re: the previous posts. I remember a story about Charlie, a big
Sonny Rollins fan, telling Mick "You'll never get him" when Mick
expressed his interest in approaching Sonny to do the sax solos.
I also remember Mick saying about the "WOAF" solo that Sonny
did three takes, all completely different.

British artist David Hockney, known for his vibrant Pop Art and iconic
California swimming pool paintings, passed away peacefully at his home
in London on June 11, at the age of 88. He and Mick Jagger were
longtime friends, and Hockney notably immortalized the rock star in
his portraits during the 1960s.

Unfortunately none of these portraits are online.

Mick took to social media today to mark David's passing...

"Remembering David Hockney, he was kind and always had a
sparkle in his eye. He never stopped experimenting and is one of
the finest painters of our generation."

Dee Palmer (1937-2026)

She was a member of Jethro Tull playng keyboards (and other instruments including sax and clarinet), making arrangements, composing, directing. Albums include Songs from the Woods, Heavy Horses, Bursting Out and Stormwatch

This is a great song composed by Dee (as David then)

From Wikipedia: Palmer was born with genital ambiguity, assigned male at birth, and underwent several surgeries, the last in her late twenties. Palmer said her gender dysphoria had been a part of her life since she had been young, and that the dysphoria "started to reassert itself again" in the year following the death of her wife Maggie in 1995.

Dave Greenslade (1943-2026)

Keyboard player of Colosseum, later founder, leader, keyboard player and composer of the band Greenslade with members of Colloseum, King Crimson, Samurai and Web

He used the "Talk box" but not with a guitar but a clavinet
