The huge Rolling Stones retrospective “Exhibitionism” opens next month at the Saatchi Gallery in London. It will feature battle-scarred guitars, Vegas-worthy stage outfits and other relics unearthed from the band’s half-century reign as rock deities. The only artifacts missing, you could say, will be the Stones themselves. The hallowed septuagenarians have become, in a cultural sense, museum statues, their artistic legacy etched in marble. That’s not to say that the Stones are fading into history. Thanks to salmon-like tendency to spawn (Mick Jagger, for instance, has seven children by four women), the progeny of the Stones continue to make their presence felt. The most recent breakout is James Jagger, the fourth child of Mick Jagger, who stars in HBO’s rock drama, “Vinyl.” Here are other notable Stones scions.
