I got the zipper Sticky connection this morning.
It's a stretch and most fans will not get it.
After thinking about it the past few hours, it's still lame.

BTW... I think the t-shirt and all the stuff for this tour will be cool!

Don't tell me they're gonna have zip-up t-shirts.  Oh no! not you again

A bit late for that. I had a black zip up 'Sticky Fingers' t-shirt in the late 70s.

Thankfully I was only about 140 pounds at the time!

Feel free to enlighten me because I'm drawing a blank.

Sticky Fingers has a Zipper in the original cover, that's the secret code for the name of the tour

So yes, probably they will play the entire album live, one of the albums with all the songs played live already

It took two admins for me to get the connection for the Zip-Code tour title. Thank you! Hoping to hear the entire album played live.

I dont think theres a chance in hell of them devoting half the show to 'Sticky Fingers' in a massive stadium in front of audiences consisting largely of people who havent seen them in a very long time.

More chance of a 3-song b-stage set consisting of 'Gomper', 'Continental Drift' and 'Anyway You Look At it'

Seems they'll do some kind of small venue somewhere (rumoured to be LA) at the start of the tour to showcase the 'Sticky Fingers'  reissue, so that's probably the best chance of them playing the whole album or at least most of it.

Will more dates be added??  TIA!!

You are. They're not playing any cities that they played on the 2012-13 tour. The rumoured list has been around for a while. No New York, Boston, Philly, Chicago, Toronto or LA either. The whole approach to the tour is to let as many people around the country see them.

Still a few shows reasonably nearby you, hopefully. (Raleigh? Pittsburgh? Columbus?)

Dont expect too many more shows. 14-15 concerts has been the norm for every leg of this tour so far.

This schedule is an outrage!  San Diego, then nothing west of Dallas???  Look at it on a map: a cluster fuck between Indianapolis and Buffalo.  Columbus is just 176 miles from Indianapolis, 184 from Pittsburgh, and 204 from Detroit; but they need a show more than Portland or Seattle?  And why Indianapolis?  That one needs to go.

this tour is brilliantly conceived, by zip code. the zip
codes most likely to generate "the moncton effect",
that is, places where a significant part of the turn-out is
simply the town celebrating itself. you could call it
the "we're here in nowhereville, we matter too" tour

local marketing will be key, to make it catch on like
moncton. they'll use the zip codes from the contest
to know which neighborhoods to concentrate on.

long time fans are welcome too of course, but will
not be catered to at all.

but, setlist aside, these kinda shows can be quite fun,
as almost nobody is there strictly for music. they are
there to party, and party they will. the atmosphere
will be exactly like when their local football team is
crushing a hated opponent.

a good time is guaranteed.

Philly is NOT a date. There aren't any billboards here. The tour is the tour. I speculated earlier that the zip code request may be for additional shows but for now they have announced the tour stops.

I never ever thought I'd say this but it's time to pack it in for them. This announcement and the complete lack of a desire to make it interesting for the fans just makes me not really give a toss. Sure, I will check the set lists to see how many Sticky Fingers songs they'll play and I would LOVE them to do a new album, but what they have offered is pathetic. Not to mention no Mick Taylor for what is supposed to be a Sticky Fingers theme. Unless it's to protect him from harm to himself, I find this to be one of the most tasteless things they have ever done.
