Don't see Red Rocks on there. Just have to wait until Thursday to see what is really up here.

Detroit is looking quite interesting for me, as well.

Just a note: Ohio Stadium is nearly 105,000 for an OSU game. I think they played there on B2B if I'm correct (?).

I know the joke about "tarpage" from the last time they played stadiums here. Do you see some sort of benefit and/or discount going on here? I can't imagine they would charge max prices in stadiums in what people are calling "secondary" markets.

I'm just amazed they are playing stadiums in 2015. This is quite extraordinary and an accomplishment. I hope they can get as many as they can, so I hope not to see the tarps.

Amen. This is why it was so easy to buy into the idea
of an amphitheatre tour, and to dismiss the idea of
a stadium tour. but:

1) there's a new generation since 2006 that is very
comfortable with festivals, which are quite close
to the stadium experience, only even less comfortable
and intimate. but youthful energy and exuberance
rules.

2) I think the cheap seats will really be cheap this
time, to make it a lot like a festival. the stones will
make their money mostly from the 15,000 closest
to the stage

3) and if the Stones REALLY want to mix things up,
they could do the field/floor like Hyde park, with
at least some cheap general admission, plus 2 or
3 noisy opening acts, to really lower the age
demographic. make the box seats on the sides the
real expensive tickets.

Arrowhead actually isn't a bad venue for concerts even though it's a stadium.  It's a big bowl with very few bad seats in the house. Most of those are on the 200 level near the posts, 300 level seats are actually better.  I've been to games and concerts there and had seats all over the place.  This will rock!

Ohio May 30th makes no sense logistically, that would mean only 1 west coast show. Mid week in L.A, Vegas,  or anyplace else in the western US, then Ohio on Saturday?  I don't think so.

They use multiple stages which 'hop' across each other.

ie, the stage at the first show might then be used for the third or fourth show.

the stage at the second show might then be used for the 4th or 5th show etc.

Its logistically easy enough for the crew - especially if the band are only playing two shows a week.

Its not exactly much more of an inconvenience for the Stones to fly four hours between cities as opposed to two hours.

The logistics are tailored towards the band and crew, not fans who want to criss cross the country attending multiple shows.

This is correct. They seem to be playing a LOT of the shows in the middle of the country in huge stadiums in what are (at best) secondary markets.

They'll need to make the cheaper tickets very cheap indeed (by Stones standards) to come close to filling some of these places.

Very expensive seats in and around the stage (ie, arena sized capacity) AND lots more seats available at prices varying from pricey to reasonable means BOTH the Stones and the promoter make a large profit. That wouldn't have been the case in arenas - same problem with the Bigger Bang US shows and the last European tour. They had to 'go large' for the promoters to be interested in giving them their guarantee.

I'm hoping that Red Rocks (and any other small shows they may choose to play) are not mentioned because they'll be added later.

A bit anti climactic after all that build up and gossip if they just elect to play nothing but stadiums.

I don't really think its an 'accomplishment' that theyre playing stadiums. The Stones could fill a stadium in any city on the planet if they priced the shows accordingly. When they've struggled to shift tickets quickly, or shift them at all, its because they've gouged the market more than they thought they could get away with.

The Pacific Northwest was bypassed last tour; I had to go clear to Anaheim.  Santa Clara is closer, but a Portland or Seattle show would really be appreated.

Lest we forget, the only city they played in the middle of the US in 2012 or 2013 was Chicago for three shows.
So it's our turn (I hope) in what some on the coasts call "flyover country" not to travel far for shows FWIW.

Correct.  Although I think the choice of cities last time was mostly to do with what markets could sustain arena shows on a 14-15 date tour where they could charge $700- $1,000 for top priced tickets.

Once you go outside New York, LA, Chicago, Vegas and the like, I'd imagine thats a hard sell.

Understandable and quite justifiable that other markets get a shot this time but to make it work they have to play bigger venues with more tickets in a lesser price range, although at any location there'll always be some people who will pay whatever is demanded to get the best seats.

Two questions for your opinion/guess:
1) Who will be selling tix?  Ticketbastard?
2) Will there be "cheap" ($100) tix in the front rows as in previous tours?
