Song count database??

Alert Board Moderator about this Post!
Is there a site or database that has all the Stones performances (or at least most from the last 40 years) which can tell you which song has been played the most...or whatever song and the number of performances, etc???

Yes...I know the warhorses, etc...

My friend Richie has seen the Stones every tour since he was 17 in 1981...I since 14 in 78...( I did miss SW due to personal issues and travels schedule) HOWEVER...he insists that he has only seen SSC twice...and i feel like I have seen it half a dozen times AT LEAST...

Richie and i have been to many shows together...which is why this is confounding to me. So...other than going show by show in RO setlists...is there such a place???

For the ladies in the house:

You mean what songs have been played the most?

Hard to give a definitive number as a lot of setlists from the 60s (and a few from after that) aren't recorded but I have a list somewhere of the top 10 and an (approximate) number of times that each has been played. I'll dig it out if I can.

But there is a page on the setlists page which lists what songs were played on a year by year basis.

"She's So Cold" was played every night in 1981-82, and then not again until 2005.

I think a lot of people would be surprised at the answer to 'what venue have the Stones played the most?'

Glasgow? God, no.

The obvious answer to many I would say would be somewhere like the Marquee, or Richmond Hotel or other places where they had early residencies.

The actual answer is a venue that never gets talked about when there are any stories or discussions about the band's early days. A London venue called Studio 51. They played there on 41 occasions.

http://rocksoff.org/1963.htm

First performance 18.11.62. Last performance there was 23.9.63. A few days before their first national tour, which marked the end of club residencies forever.

How about the more modern era. From 69 on?

The two large scale venues that have been played the most are Madison Square Garden and the Tokyo Dome (the latter of which is a stadium sized venue). The Stones have played each of them 25 times.

MSG
1969 - 3 shows
1972 - 4 shows
1975 - 6 shows
1981 - 2 shows
1998 - 3 shows
2002 - 1 show
2003 - 2 shows
2005 - 1 show
2006 - 2 shows
2012 - 1 show (two-song set at the Concert for Sandy)

Tokyo Dome
1990 - 10 shows
1995 - 7 shows
1998 - 4 shows
2003 - 2 shows
2006 - 2 shows

There will however be three shows at the Tokyo Dome in the next couple of weeks, taking the total up to 28.

In Europe, as far as I can tell, the arena and stadium played the most are both within about 200 metres of each other.

Wembley Arena, London - 11 appearances
NME Pollwinners Concert - 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968
1973 tour - 4 shows
2003 tour - 3 shows

Wembley Stadium, London (all at the old stadium which closed in 2000 - they havent played the new stadium yet)- 12 shows

1982 - 2 shows
1990 - 5 shows
1995 - 3 shows
1999 - 2 shows
