Keith Richards Cast In Pirates Of The Caribbean 5

Keith Richards is set to appear in his third Pirates of the Caribbean film.

Richards stars in the upcoming fifth installment of the franchise, Dead Men Tell No Tales, playing the father of Johnny Depp's character Jack Sparrow.

The film focuses on the search for the mysterious Trident, with Richards' character Teague in a pivotal role.

Richards may co-star with Christopher Waltz, who is rumored to be in talks to play a new villain that will also be searching for Trident.

Filming is slated to start in October 2014, with a release date the following year. Richards agreed to star in the films after Depp admitted that Richards was an inspiration for his own character. He's previously noted that acting is "fun and a change. A bizarre other world."
