His story, her story…. which one’s the truth?

Mick Jagger “categorically denies” Katy Perry’s claim that he made a pass at her when she was a teenage up and coming singer—and Popdust has the details.

Perry made the remarks during an interview with Australian radio station, Nova FM—claiming Jagger, now 70, hit on her during a dinner date when she was just 18.

“I went to dinner with him one time and he hit on me when I was 18,” Perry said, adding, “That was a long time ago, and he’s been very kind.”

When asked how she managed to shun the lusty Lothario’s advances, Perry claimed she fobbed him off on a friend.

Note To Journalists—Don’t Ask Katy Perry Who Roar Is Really About—OK?

“You bring a friend and then they do them. You sacrifice your friend,” she said.

However, if the pass did ever happen, Jagger is claiming he has no memory of it.

“Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry,” his publicist insisted in a statement. “Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else.”

I've got 2 things to say about this story:
1) If true, I don't give a shit. She was 18. That's an adult most places you go. Good for Mick if he wants to stick his head between those bean bags.
2) I don't believe it's true. She'll say anything when she's out promoting her new album. He probably gave her a compliment that to most people wasn't even close to being a come-on and she took it as such, being a naive 18 year old imbecile.

Either way, it's a non-story and here we are talking about it.

I will now proceed to Google and search "KATY PERRY FUN BAGS".

She was very deeply religious. Why was she on a dinner date with Mick? What sort of connections did she have at 18 to have a chance like that? Bet it was function and there was like 150 other people there & she was 7 tables away and wanted something to tell her friends. Lot of crap.

It was a small group dinner. A break in the recording of
Old Habits Die Hard, on which Katy provided backing
vocals.

In such a setting, its difficult to imagine Mick NOT
making a pass.

Katy's spontaneous telling of the story on an Aussie
radio show was in poor taste but was only a minor
news story. Mick's "categorical denial" both blew up
the story worldwide (giving Mick a level of publicity
he rarely gets these days) and at the same time was
a clever way to slightly punish Katy for her loose
tongue (as if to say, she was beneath his notice back
then).
