I just read the article and I have always admired Marianne and her honesty, but I think she is getting mixed up. It was MICK who broke up with her because of her drug abuse, Wild Horses is her swan song, MICK ended it. She contradicted herself because in another article she was saying after Redlands she couldn't take the publicity and that's when she started going deeper into drugs because of her embarrassment over the naked mars bar story, true or not.  SO now she is blaming her behavior on her mother? She wrote in her book that her mother was the only reason she stopped doing heroin because her mothers love was so strong it became her reason to live. Now she saying her mother hated men and so that's why she needed to take drugs and drink? This is strange.

I read her book years ago, she had a pretty tough time when she was doing Heroin, she lived on the street, after the break up with Mick, her stories go back & forth, I wonder if she's stayed clean? I don't think Lady Jane you'd have a few drinks with her, although I don't understand why drug addicts have got to give up drinking since that is not their drug of choice.
